Yesterday's condo

Back into the lagoon she goes! As cool and rainy as it is today, I hope she took a big towel!

She's coughing more today than she has been though, so I guess I'll put her back on the antihistamine and see if it helps. The cyproheptadine works better as an antihistamine, but also stimulates her appetite a LOT, so I guess I'll go back to the Chlor-trimeton. Last thing she needs is to eat more!

Any suggestions on other antihistamines that might work are welcome! She'd been doing much better than she had over the winter, so I'm not happy to hear the coughing come back although I guess if it was something more serious than allergies/asthma, the fact she'd been doing better for awhile would be good news. If it was her heart I guess she wouldn't have been doing better for any length of time.

I see China and Cinco had another assignation at the lagoon. I dragged Cinco out and dried him off. It's windy but sunny here. He's hanging out on the shore now. I told him he was forbidden to even talk to China any more today because we are going out tonight and I don't want any funny stuff happening while we're gone!

I had some success with both Benadryl and Zyrtec with Sasha in the past, although right now neither seems to be helping. What dosage do you use for the Chlor-trimeton? I take it myself and have plenty of 4mg tablets. Maybe I'll try that next.

The vet told us 1/2 tab BID, but the advice I got here was 1/4 tab, so that's what I've been giving her. (and that's the 4mg tab)

With the cypro, even 1/8th make her ravenous, so I'm saving it in case she gets into another funk of not eating much.

Beginning to wonder if these two kitties are long lost siblings! They have that "psychic connection" a lot of siblings have ...which is bad for us beans since we can't keep them from talking to each other :lol:

Nice numbers for China today. Sorry about the coughing. I give Furball Zyrtec. I buy the 10 mg tablets and cut them into quarters and give them once a day. You can give them twice a day if necessary.
