Good Morning LL Fam ~O) ~O) :mrgreen:

Another quick recovery from an ugly, ugly bounce yesterday.. I may have even missed some green this morning.. I have got to set alarms to get some spot checks in the middle of the night. ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile .
All is well with Tommy and the rest of the gang here.. We're are in for another round of TS today and I think for the next few days as well.

I spoke with what will be Tommy's new vet office this morning(keeping paws crossed that this one works out)
We have an appt for this Wednesday to get up to date on his vaccines, before he can get a dental which i completely understand..
They have 5 vets that work there and I told them about Tommy, how i home test,give him his shots 2x a day, keep a SS, belong to the FDMB :-D , asked a hundred questions, some of which is there a specific vet there that is more experienced with FD, and to let them know Tommy is Acro.. She told me they do have vet that has more exp than some of the other in that area but of course she is on vacation this week :roll: .. That's ok, we will be meeting with one of the other vets on Wednesday (Who is also the owner), so that will be good to meet him right off the bat. I'll be bringing in all my paperwork that i have on Tommy so they can get up to speed before he has his dental, which if all goes well, will hopefully take place the following Wednesday. They want to wait a week after he gets his vaccines.
She told me they have 2 vets on all the time and at least one on call after hours for emergencies.

The conversation this morning, just talking with the staff there made me feel "better", does that make sense?

hi guys .. so glad to see tommy is at a nice blue this morning .. we used to set an alarm clock for middle of the night tests, but it had to be across the room as we usually just shut off the ones by our heads when they would go off :oops:

I hope you have a good vet visit at the new vet's office and hopefully they are all on board with you in regards to taking care of Tommy .. and yes, I do know what you mean about feeling "better" .. have a great day guys!

Sounds like a great conversation with the vet's office...promising. I'll be so interested in what they say on Wed.

Good morning!! Hope you are all well with the storms. We are in Tulsa and are stuck in that tornado, hail, storm pattern that you are as well.

Congratulations on the vet search! I know exactly what you mean about feeling better, almost hopeful I would think. We had the same situation. We had a vet who we thought was good until things started needing fixed. We cycled through vets while trying to deal with a dog with a torn acl and Tarragon's asthma. We now have a great vet office. However, our dog had to have 2 surgeries and 8 weeks of physical therapy and Tarragon now has diabetes as a result of steroid shots, all attributable to poor vet advice. I hope it all goes well!

Devon, an excellent idea to put the alarm clock across the room so you have to get up, that is unless you have a shoe handy or some other heavy object that you can throw at the alarm.. :lol: I'm glad i'm not the only one who understands about just feeling "better" about it..

Oh, the mystery of the climbing numbers from a good AMPS....Champ has done that a few times and it just leaves me scratching my head!!!

Well, we just see about 500 today. I'm gonna do my best to keep that from happening, but as we all have learned we aren't the ones driving :lol: . I may have learned a lesson or 3.. R given at +2 to hopefully put the breaks on this nasty trend.. Poor baby..

Melissa, I see that Tulsa got more this morning and you sent it our way, that was so very kind of you :-D
We had some 60mph straight line winds blow right across our property last night. DH and I were standing on our covered front porch and thought for sure we were going to lose a crabapple tree and an oak tree, but they just got ruffled a little..
Please tell me that your pooch is better now!

We did get some this morning and it is still very unsettled out there right now and expecting tornadoes again tonight. Hopefully it will miss Joplin. Those poor people have so much to deal with right now.

Our labrador is better. It was a 2 year process and it has caused him to age prematurely. He still limps and will never be 100% again. However, he is able to chase a bunny or squirrel and go on long walks. It just makes a person so angry. We thought we were doing the right thing for both Charlie and Tarragon. However, as it turns out, they were hacks and were causing more problems. I really hope you find a vet who will listen to you and is willing to learn about the acro if they don't already know about it. Our latest cat vet always says: "well I have never heard of that but we can work together and we will both learn something" when I have presented something new to her.

Hang in there! You are doing great and Tommy is very lucky to have you as a bean!
 
gee, i had to look to find tommy's condo!

glad you survived the thunder storms and winds that went through the area. sounds like it was just awful - and so many people killed in joplin!

well, tommy put on his springs this morning, didn't he! at least you know that he goes up, but he also comes down. we could all him tigger tommy! :lol: silly boy.
