5/23 Stela AMPS 92, +2 61, +3 58

I've been feeding 1.6% LC at shot time, +1, +2, +3, +6 and +8. She gave me a green AMPS two days in a row. I'm curious about her PMPS today.

She is getting a snack at +8 in both cycles?

Yes because she gets very upset if she doesn’t. But I keep it small, like a teaspoon maybe.

It's good you are giving a snack at +8. In fact, for cats on such small doses of insulin as well as cats on OTJ trials, we recommend giving a snack at +8 or +9 to see if that helps bring down the preshots. For cats with functioning pancreas, insulin is produced in response to food and that brings down the BG, three hours after food.

I think I can gradually shift the last preshot snack to +9 and see if that makes a change

I divided her afternoon snack and gave her a half at +8 and the other half at +9. She tested 115 at +10, which is not terrible but I was kinda hoping for a full green cycle. She was a bit stressed though as my mom came to visit and she doesn't like other people around.
