Yesterday's Condo

Two kitties hanging around my head as I woke and realized that the alarm music was playing and I was doing my best to ignore it. I hate when that happens. I realize I totally missed the +8 snack and testing and I am very angry at myself. Cell alarm wasn't even set correctly it looks like...there was some leftover food that wasn't touched so I guess everyone was okay. UGH. I missed his nadir though... :roll: Oh shoot me....

They certainly ate their breffis this morning! Shadow starting his day with a low blue which is very pretty to see. (of course, I will never know where he was last night but that is water under the old bridge now.) grr_red Note to self: be sure to take a NAP during the afternoon. The intensity of the FD and what we have to do is mind boggling to me sometimes. Some days I feel so incompetent and like today, totally disappointed in myself.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday! Decorating party tonight if anyone can make it....all are welcome...civvies too.

Beans need to sleep. And I suspect that Shadow didn't mind one less poke and being able to sleep through the night, as well.

That number is a great way to start the day. Maybe it's Shadow's way of saying, "Thanks for letting me sleep, mom."

Hi Pat, It's really good to sleep!!! You should do more of that!!! Shadow's AMPS is fantastic. Stu is still working on the menu for Thursday and will send it to you on Tuesday, in case Raja needs to do some extra preparations. Tomorrow Stu will be over to help decorate. We'll be out all day and he'll be glad to see Raja and Shad-0 and help out.

Shadow & Moonie have close amps today & both of us are like WOW--right Pat??
This could be a whoo hoo day for Shadow! He is looking so so good right now(do ya think Moonie & Shad are emailing each other??)

Hey, news alert to Pat.... You can't stay up every night to test! These numbers are lovely and you have plenty of information for that cycle. And as Sienne said, Shadow is probably happy that he got some extra sleep and a one less pokey.

I love these numbers for Shadow. Good boy!

It is true that FD takes over most of your thoughts and attention and you think in terms of hours between testing and carefully scheduled shots. And food amounts and food carbs and feeding and and and.... Everything is thought in terms of +hours, even if you are talking about scheduling a haircut for yourself.

I wish for you that the day comes soon when Shadow is predictable so you can release some of this intensity. He is a challenge for sure, but lately he is looking 'more better' (anti-jinx!)

Hi Pat,

Shadow's amps is great, so don't be so hard on yourself. Sometimes I fall asleep too when I was meaning to take another #. It happenes, we need the sleep. Nothing we can do about that.

OT I was thinking about a bite re my ankle/foot also. I have another dr apt tomorrow. So we shall see. It just wears on you when you know somethings wrong but can't pin point it. If I did'nt have anything to attend to at home, I would go right to bed. But 2 droolers, and 4 kitties, that isn't happening. :smile:

So I see the kitties are gearing up for the party. I can see they are going to have a blast!

Definatly nothing to be dissappointed about here! No bouncing no nothin! Maybe he is getting the hang of it now. I think it's a good thing he is taking his time at each step, maybe the reductions will last this time. Yea you may have a missed a lower number, but you may also have spared yourself some stress (in the event he he was actually higher) :mrgreen: Ignorance is bliss :cool:

Very nice amps this morning and great numbers last night too. Don't beat yourself up, Pat. Beans need sleep too. And Shadow probably needs to keep some secrets too. :mrgreen: Blackie wants to come to the decorating party and he might bring his civie buddy Charlie. They've been sleeping together constantly the last couple of days. I hope you have a wonderful Sunday.

Hi Pat,
You always do great with your checks with Shadow, so one miss won't hurt. There is so much to remember. I use a timer when it's close to Maggie's shot so I don't get sidetracked. Shadow is looking really good this weekend.

He is out there doing his Call of the Wild thing. Don't know why he is so loud. Just sprinkled freeze dried on his food but he didn't go for it. He didn't quite finish his snack. Raja did though. She is up on the chest of drawers again right here with me. Shadow has been very lovey today...must be feeling good.

The kitties are talking about the decorations now...there is a lot of giggling going on...as usual...Raja likes to have a Plan first so there will be much discussion before work begins. Not to worry...they still have a few more nights of getting together to party--uh decorate I mean. :lol:
 
You are doing a great job, Pat....you know sometimes you have to sleep and sometimes you have to take time for yourself. We all know that you love Shadow and you are doing your very very best to make sure he is happy and healthy. You just can't beat yourself up for wanting to do something you want to do. If you don't take time for yourself eventually you may end up really resenting the fact that you "have to take care of a sick cat".

Shadow is looking great...you are getting wonderful numbers and I bet Shadow is feeling just peachy also!!

Oh, and did you say a decorating party??? I better tell Spot, he just learned of the new moon party today and would be very upset if he wasn't there to help decorate.

Pat, Sleep is Good! We all miss sometimes, you just wait for the next cycle. Shadow is good, what more can you ask for?
 
Are you sure Shadow isn't just behaving before the big party so he can splurge then?? Nice numbers. Sorry that Tuscany can't come to decorate - with her paw it will be enough to come to the party - and mostly watch except if she gets too much niptini she could get a little wild (specially with the steroids on board). Hope Shad-O man keeps up with these numbahs!
