Rosa's still doing really well OTJ - her numbers have been comfortably within normal range every week.
She is, I think, as happy as I've ever seen her - she's in a routine with her daily walks and hangs out by the front door meowing to remind me that it's time for me to take her out. Of course that doesn't stop her trying to get an extra trip to the great outdoors by running out the door any chance she gets at other times too!
She's in a bit of a mood with me right now because when she came back from today's walk, I found she had some pine needles stuck to her with something sticky (I suspect some kind of tree sap, but of course I had to wash it off as much as I could in case it was anything nastier than that). So she now has a huge wet patch of fur from my attempts to get most of it off which she is NOT impressed with!
And she's curled up in a big cardboard box in a nest she's made out of blankets ignoring me. Other than that she's been happy and playful, running around non stop and climbing on everything. She's especially pleased with her ability to jump onto and over things that, at 12, I really thought would be out of her reach by now even with her BG under control and her strength back. She's been trying to set an example to our tabby (the baby of the family) by teaching her how to lay quietly on the bed and watch movies with Mom and Dad, but so far that training is failing - Licorice (the tabby) is more interested in chewing people's fingers, trying to steal chips or popcorn and getting in the way of the screen than she is in cuddling quietly. And she follows me everywhere again, just like she used to - she's under my feet a lot, but I love it as she's so happy and active!
We had a bit of a moment with Rosa earlier this week when she decided she had to go visit our housemate's room - he and I both ran in there after her to find she was completely ignoring the forbidden dry food and was instead intent on climbing into one of the boxes on the top bunk bed.
She was so happy to get all the way up there and find a new place to sit and watch everything going on around her that we let her stay there, supervised to make sure she didn't make an attempt on the food, until he was ready to leave the house for the day. It was great to see her ignore food that only a few short months ago she'd have been straight into - I think her inner carnivore isn't interested in dry food any more!

what a great report. I would love to be a fly on the wall at your place watching all the kitty antics! Is it any wonder that the kids next door have fallen in love - I'm sure that anyone who didn't fall in love with her must have some sort of serial killer tendencies! Very cute on the kids delivering their pic and the flowers.
