Oh geez..
I'm still getting hang of Lantus v Vetsulin. I didn't shoot since AMPS was 148, but something was nagging at me to go back and read again (there's all the reading). Not the same as Vetsulin here. Should have shot, shouldn't I? Now what??

Yes, you have to wait until PMPS to shoot. If you shoot now then again at PMPS, you would have 2 nadirs happening and I have heard that's bad. Lantus is a depot insulin. I'll let the pros weigh in.

You could shoot now if you want, BUT if you do, you have to remember that your next shot will be 12 hours from now. (You can slowly work your way back to your usual shot time by shooting 15-30 minutes early until you get back on schedule) So, if you cannot be off-schedule like that, then you should wait until PMPS to shoot; if you are able to be off-schedule and slowly work you way back to your regular shot time, then you could shoot.

BTW, I do have to admit I read your subject line wrong - I saw your "+6" as "+2". With it being +6, I would be inclined to wait until PMPS; however, my comment does still stand true - if you wanted to shoot, you could, but you would be way off schedule so only do so if you can afford being off like that.

I apologize for the confusion!
