They are doing triples on everything! :joyful: Kinda cool huh! They say that they wants to give all kitties some fun times today, triple funs! What will that be.... I dunno! so. well. anyways. :coffee::coffee::coffee: Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and Double shot Breve's, with beans from high in the Brazilian Mountains.... and for my mocha fans: a VENTI Quad Blueberry infused white mocha/mocha blend with white chocolate chips melted within, swirled with a raspberry puree, topped with a strawberry infused whip garnished with caramelized berry sprinkles and white chocolate curls and a caramel drizzle.......SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of 4 berry and vanilla and caramel swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with caramel and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good!

I hope everyone has had a great week. We have been.... well, busy again! :woot: I just can't imagine not being on the go. :) It keeps us out of trouble, and makes for great times! I often think back on the weeks happenings, and wonder how in the world did we do all that! :woot: o_O:joyful: It was the same this past week. It has been a good week. :joyful::woot::cool:

It has been a week in the pool! :woot::joyful::) It has just become the norm for us, we go each week, and just never tire of it. It proves to be such fun for both boys, and their excitement with it all has not wavered. :):joyful::cool: Nicholas's swim classes continue, on Monday and Wednesday, Nicholas is enjoying his new class, and the challenges that being up a level brings. He's doing well, learning the basics of side breathing, breaststroke and backstroke. He literally runs to class when it is time. :woot: Outside of class he still is our little energizer fishie, loves swimming in the big pool, and will often forgo the beach area play for the 6 and unders. He'd rather be in deep water. ;) He is so happy to have his Friday night swims back at the Snohomish pool. Me too for that matter! :joyful: William continues to do well, and has gotten very comfortable in the water. He likes to float, and will do so, on his tummy in the shallow beach area. This week he was once again scooting along the bottom, floating on his tummy, using arms and legs to move about. How fun! Lessons ought to go well for him too, when he is eligible. We are grateful for our time n the pool. It has all enabled to boys to explore anther aspect of growing up, one they really enjoy. Out swim days this week were Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday night.
WHOA.... that is alot of pool time. Crazy, but I am grateful to have the opportunity to be able to take them.
GO NICHOLAS! GO WILLIAM !!

Nicholas: Beach Swimming!

and.... yes! We are still doing the Friday Night Burger Feast, after Nicholas's swim time.:cool::cool: He loves it, and continues to look forward to it each week. We have this running bet on how many extra pickles (I always ask for extra as he LOVES pickles) we will actually get. It varies, anywhere from 2 to 10. So.... in the interest of actually having extra pickles I started to bring even more last week. :) I swear Nicholas did his version of the Mannie Fuds Dance once he saw them. :joyful:

The week was busy.... three days of adventure after adventure. I was grateful, in a way, that it was only a three day week with the boys, and that we are back on a regular schedule. Weather was great this week, so we were able to spend alot of time outdoors, from the play park at Meadowdale Park to the beaches of Juanita Beach Park. Temp were in the upper 70's! On Thursday Nicholas went beach swimming out in the waters of Juanita Beach. What fun for him! William was content to remain in the beach water break with his buckets and shovels. Good times for both boys. On Friday Nicholas's pre-school had field trip to the Outback Kangaroo Farm in Arlington. Yes, we have kangaroos! I was fun. The kids could get up close and personal with them, and the wallabes, and llamas, feed them, pet the kangaroos. It was a fun unusual place in Wa state! Before the trip to the farm, we all had some fun at Haller Park in Arlington. It was nice to see that there was river access, so I hope to bring the boys back for an extended stay later in the summer. Arlington is very close to Oso, an area that was devastated by a mudslide last march, in 2014, that took way too many lives. Nicholas has been reading about it, watching videos. So we thought we'd take him there so he could see the site as it really is. He enjoyed it, despite being initially fearful that another slide could happen while we were there. He did ask on the way home if he could go back again, as he wants to see it again. Yupp, that we can do. :) Wednesday, after Nicholas's swim, we were also able to spend some time with the boys Grammie Connie. I am so grateful to her for helping me with William when Nicholas needs to be in the pool. She is a god-send. Boys love it there too. It truly was a great week!

For my own personal time, I continue to hike the local trails here when I can. I still haven't made that mountain hike, but all in good time on that one. ;) I know, I write this every week.... but SOON! I have read that the higher mountain roads are all now open, so no more excuses! I wasn't able to travel this week for a hike, due to personal and family obligations, but I did make a short hike to the lowland mountain area nearby, visiting the Big Four Ice Caves, near Barlow Pass on the Mountain Loop Highway. The drive along the highway was awesome, and I did make a point of driving all of it. :woot: Come to find out, I missed being involved with a mudslide that covered that highway by an hour or two. Sure glad I missed that! Mtn Loop was closed for a few days while they fixed it all, and removed the mud. Home life has been somewhat busy too, celebrating Anthony's Birthday this past Sunday, and local hikes to places like Picnic Point, and Mesika.

Normalcy in Three MusketeerVille! :cat::cat::cat: Kitties are doing well, and there really isn't much change from last week. Bug is still being cuddly, Elsa is till holding her own, and Lola is still escaping. :woot: I will be making an appt for Elsa, her yearly exam a bit early. I believe she has lost more weight. I really need to have her checked out. Sorry Elsa... but off you go to the vetty.
For old times sake I though I'd repost one of Mannie's old condos.... back from May 2010. we hadn't been on the board even 6 months... long before he was the head chef, long before the nanner king, long before he activities director, long before MannieLand.... What fun to go back, arbitrarily pick a date.

And Happy Monday everyone!

Yesterday's Condo

My gracious sakes! Will you look at last night ~~ and then there is this morning... AMPS 2 177, +2 125. Already the boy is on the move. Looks like his mama bean will be busy this morning. How nice (!!) to see these bloos during the day in addition to the evening hours. Good news I think - now if we can just avoid the bounce, and the trampoline, and the bungee cords, and the cliff diving....

WCR: Excellent morning for Mannie - all p's accounted for, in excess on the purring side of things. Mannie had a terrific time at Scrabble's party, and can hardly wait to the next one. Seems he is quite the party animal. For this morning, he is now curled up in his bed putting in some serious

time, as it is raining here today. He made his morning outdoor rounds, but it sure didn't take him long to find his way back in and into bed. No dummie there....

76 @ +3 thank goodness that the caw-fee is already brewed!

This is the second day in a row with green numbers during the day - not usual for him, but ever so welcome. Progress I think.

so far, so good. forgot to post the +6 @ 73. i did not feed with the +5 or the +6, and he is continuing this lovely green surf. he is due for his normal "lunch meal" in about 30 minutes - will be curious to see what that does.

It is a nice surf isn't it... It is nice too that we have been seeing a few more of them.

and a given on those poor ears. last night, and again today. The last test we had i got this heavy sigh, but no fuss. what a trooper! It had been a great day for him - and i hope that he won't have an ugly bounce. Keep on surfin' Mannie!

Despite that Mannie had a great day, awesome night last night and the days before were good- so: here's hoping, paws crossed, that he clears this one quickly and back to those nice blue and green surfs...

WCR: Right now he's had a great nap, had his dinner, and is off to Tugger's party! It's been a day of snuggles, chin scratches, ear rubs, a mini poke-a-thon, and long naps. It's been a great day in Mannie-ville.

Hi Mannie! I love that picture of him - and that was fun to see his old condo. I no doubt saw it at the time. :D

Elsa's looking pretty cute with that little tongue sticking out.

Glad to hear all is well with your world. The boys are so big - and what fishes! Enjoy your holiday weekend!

How great that Nicholas likes his new swim class so much. How nice that you've been able to get out for some hikes. I'm glad you missed the mud slide. Sending good vetty vines for Elsa. That's a great picture of Mannie. How neat to see an old condo.

@julie & punkin (ga) Hi Julie! THX for the visit. I love that pic of Mannie, always has been one of my favorites. And that condo, such along time ago, when I was such rookie! I thought to too on the Elsa pic, found that one on a "what's in this folder?" hunt. ;) Yupp on the boys! That they are - where does the time go?

@carfurby Hi Carla! Yupp, Nicholas loves that class. I am so ahppy about that, such fun for him. THX too on Elsa, and the Mannie sutff. Me too on that mudslide! Guess I just missed it, a relief! Hikes have been good, hope to so another tomorrow. I'm glad you enjoyed pne of Mannie's old condos, really old condo!

Happy Memorial Day L&LL! I hope you all are enjoying the holiday. It has been a hiking weekend for me. YaHOO! I have spent two days on the trails, what fun! I thought I'd share it with you.

Saturday found me in Leavenworth, in Central Washington. I had hoped to hike the desert, but the hikes chosen proved to be inaccessible for a variety of reasons, so I selected a old familiar and favorite: Icicle Gorge. Icicle Creek is in the Alpine Wilderness, one of my fave places to be. Creek was gorgeous, very full, very fast. The wildflowers were in abundance, often covering the ground in a blanket of color. Just exceptionally nice. Prior to this hike I stopped in at a river hike, a short 2 miler, just outside the town of Leavenworth: the Tumwater Pipeline. it has a nice sandy area near the trail head where one can hangout on the river. It is such a good spot to stop and relax some. Wildflowers there were outstanding too. One the way home, I took a few minutes to visit Deception Falls, simply becasue I could. Those falls are awesome: another fast and furious body of water. What an incredible day, sunny and warm, and full of adventure. The drive to Leavenworth was as good as the hikes. I love being on the road. :)

Icicle Creek

Sunday found me back In Arlington. When we had gone on Nicholas's field trip to the Kangaroo farm there I wanted to come back when I had time and explore some more, in the hopes of finding easy river access to the river there. It looked like it had alot of potential for an adventure day with the boys. So I back went today. Mission accomplished! I did find a simple way to get down the the Stillaguamish River, and found miles of sand. and rocks. and water. One day soon we will have to give it a shot, and see if the boys think it is a good as grammie thinks it is. While there I also hikes the Eagle Trail, a very short 1 mile Wetlands hike, right next to the river and the park. That was a hidden surprise, and glad I took the time. I even saw an active osprey nest, complete with mom, and dad, and potential babies. Since I was in the area... I knew the Whitehorse Trail a connector 28 mile trail to Darrington, was right next to the park. No... I didn't do all 28 miles! only 3, and then back. I was curious as to what it was like, so investigated some. It is still under development, but think that when done it will be a great trail system for all sorts of folks: bikers, runners, horses, and hikers too. way cool.

Stillaguamish River, Haller Park

and now I am tired, and am taking the rest of today off. :woot: HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY everyone!

@rhiannon and shadow Hi Rhiannon! :coffee::coffee::coffee: lol, but others have told me as much.... I don't "sit and be still" well. Plus, I have found that I really do like to be busy. Fun awaits! :joyful::rolleyes::woot:

Hi Michelle! Wow I could have used a keg filled with VENTI Quad Blueberry infused white mocha/mocha blend with white chocolate chips melted within, swirled with a raspberry puree these past few mornings!

So great to see Nicholas and William enjoying themselves so with the swimming! Go little guys!! :joyful::joyful: Wonderful pictures as always--so neat to see Mannie- he was so regal looking!! :bighug:

I have never been to the Kangaroo Farm before!! I'll have to check it out for August when my GrandNieces come to visit again! Thank you for the pictures! Envious of your drive over the pass, wasn't it crazy though this weekend? We used to go to Spokane every Memorial Weekend and the line coming back home would take 6-7 hours! Beautiful scenery though, I love Icicle Creek and Tumwater Canyon as you well know- especially when it's filled with wildflowers!! Hope you got some rest this busy weekend!

@Tiger and Ruth Morning Ruth :coffee::coffee::coffee: LOL on that keg, I couldn't agree more. I always thought that one sounded like it would taste to good! I so agree too on the boys ad the swimming. They both just love the pool, so we go as often as we can. Do check out the Outback Kangaroo Farm. It is a fun thing for the kids, very hands on, they can pet and feed. The guy that runs it is one crusty old dude, but he does a decent job. it is a bit pricey, $10 per I think, but what isn't pricey these days. It still is a great experience for the kids. OH YES on the crazy this weekend, One reason why I traveled on Sunday, traffic was good then. Leavenworth was PACKED, as were the trails. By noon it was on overload, I was glad I was there early. I can see that: 6/7 hours from Spokane. I avoid the passes at all costs on holiday travel times. I gets so backed up!! THX on the weekend, I did try... :)

I like that description of Mannie: regal. He was! Alot of quiet dignity and grace.
