Good Morning LL Fam ~O) ~O) , Think I'm gonna need much more of that this morning..

Leave it up to Tommy to keep my guessing.. ohmygod_smile Last night when i went to bed he was 324.. Nice kitty, I thought that meant he wanted me to get some sleep.. Which i did.. And what do you know I wake up to an 83 @+10.5 and then 97 at preshot.. I looked back over his SS and saw that i had shot a full dose before when he was @ 107, so i did it again especially since he was going up if even just a little bit. I'm glad he cleared that icky bounce again..
Blue and green look so much better on a boy don't you think? :-D :-D
I hope all of you have a Wonderful Sunday! It looks as though the Mid West is in for more rounds of Thunderstorms for the next few days..

I'd definitely get a +1 and you may want to give a little HC just to keep the numbers where you want them unless you see that numbers are heading up.

Libby, is that a hint that i should keep an eye on him for now.. :-D I was going to wait until +3 to test again only because i figured the lantus probably hasn't kicked in yet.. but i will get a +2 ;-)

Sienne, Already done, but thanks for reminding me about the HC.. I don't have much left so i will get some the next time i go out.. Also, I can't thank you enough about the SS FYI.. I've been wanting to fix that for so long and searched and searched on my own for an answer and voila, you gave me the answer.. I did try to do the spaces to make the text wrap, but i can't get that to work..Not yet any way ;-)

Julie, Oh yeah, Seeing a number like that clears out the cob webs really fast.. As for a lazy Sunday!That's exactly what it should be. could you have a talk with him about that.. :lol: I have really got to get my flowers planted and the rest of the property cut...

Just an FYI....anytime you shoot your lowest ever PS, you should get a +1 and +2. That helps you get data ready to shoot lower PS numbers. Tommy looks wonderful in blue and green, I hope he surfs nicely for you today!

I was looking at your SS comments, from when you had the lower greens the other day. You mentioned having trouble separating the gravy from the HC food....I always had trouble with that when I used FF varieties! There just isn't much gravy in those cans. I use 9 Lives tender slices with real beef in gravy...bigger cans, it has a lot of gravy, and it's easy to separate. It also has the added advantage of being truly HC...24% carbs. (There are other flavors, I just happen to use beef.) The FF "HC" varieties are really only MC, 15-18%, I don't consider them HC. Not sure if that's what you're using, but I thought I would mention it. Tommy may need a true HC to pull him up reliably.

If you notice on Gabby's SS, for something like 54 @ +2.5, you would have written it at 53@+2.5. Put a space in between like I did and the text should wrap. Nice looking numbers so far!

If you can't get the text to wrap, the other way to do it is to hold down Control and press Enter....that will start a new line in the box (but I do what Sienne suggested!)

I'm raising a glass to Tommy and his great numbers today! Hope he continues to stay in such a nice range! You are doing such a fantastic job with him, it's inspiring to watch! Hope you both have a nice, relaxing Sunday.

Laurie, thanks about the SS and The HC food, The other day it was Special Kitty Chunky Chicken in Gravy.. I have that for the 2 outside kitties and that's the only thing with gravy that i did have.. I will be picking up some 9-lives as soon as i can. He's not listening to any of you today.. :shock: .. Tommy do you hear Laurie... Surf big boy, surf.. No need to go looking for the big waves :lol:

tommy's just bouncing from those greens last night/early morning. it's ok. at this point, we expect him to do it.

I agree with Jill. I love when bounces start clearing in 1/2 day or so. Good news!

It might not hurt to go ahead and give some R, since it looks like he is starting another bounce. If you can catch the very beginning of a bounce with R, that might help keep him from going all the way to black again.

Obviously i didn't get your messages in time to shoot R at +6 and given what his +9 is i should have and i thought about it, i just thought he might come down on his own again.. Shame on me ohmygod_smile

I'm sure the bounces are a little uncomfortable, but they are normal at this point. It's good when the bounces start clearing faster, though, because usually what happens is the bounces get shorter and shorter and shorter and then one day they just go away.

See what happens tonight. I have one rather unorthodox thought that for Tommy, maybe it's time to back off the R when he's in the 500's. Since his 500s have been breaking rather quickly and going to green, maybe it's better NOT to give R at 500, counterintuitive as that seems, or at least to give less. I don't know, that feels odd to me and I don't know if I would be able to look at a 500 and not R it. :lol: The problem is that if you give R at a time when the numbers are about to start dropping on their own anyway, you can end up with TOO much momentum - Jojo always compared it to a ball rolling down a hill and picking up speed as it goes. You have good instincts about Tommy, what do you think?

Libby, my thought is that it makes perfect sense what you said and why you said it and hopefully the next time i (see) a bounce starting i can catch it with a little R and not let it get to 500 or above.. And I'll just experiment if in fact he does reach 500 without me catching it, I'll hold off on the R and hopefully he'll clear it quickly again.. One other thing, did you think i should stay at 10.5 or go back up to 11.

Hi guys! I think Tommy is doing great - I can;t add too much to most of what is being discussed here today - a totally clueless on R. I wish you guys luck - it's nice to see Tommy clearing the bounces sooner. Good luck!

I would stay with 10.5 for now. It's a good sign that he got green on that dose.

what sienne is saying is that if you look at tommy ss for 5/20 at the am +4 time, you wrote

58@4.5

and it is all on one line. you've widened the cell width by adjusting the lines so it fits right now, but if you wanted another option that would work with narrower cell widths, you could enter

58 @ 4.5

when you add the spaces you give the program an option for a break. if the cell width is too narrow to fit on one line 58 @ 4.5 it will wrap it around so it might look like

58 @
4.5

just another option for having all the test results be visible.

the good thing about this bounce is that you now have experience and you know he'll be back down quickly. just think how good it was for him to spend several hours in the lower numbers today. he's making progress!
 
Red much better than black any day.. Hopefully we'll clear this one pretty fast as well..

Julie, All better now, I think what the problem was is that after i put the spaces in i still wasn't making the column narrow enough to give the numbers a chance to wrap... Go look, Go look,, it looks so much better now.. Thanks for splainin' too. Some times things just click and you go ohmygod_smile
 
oh i totally get it. i live with a computer whiz and he has explained things over and over to me. eventually i get it. well sometimes! :lol:

glad it all worked - you're right, it looks great now! you go girl!
 
Julie you know what's bad is that although i'm not a whiz, i consider myself to be pretty puter literate, but this SS thing has me learning things i never ever knew..there are still so many things i need to learn about it..
Thanks for givin the nod on it looking good now.. I thought you would be proud :-D :-D
