Guess he read Libby's post and he sensed an increase on the horizon. Had a bit of a pajama party last night....no HC or any dramatics, but still, i was up a lot just to check on him. I liked those numbers and then this morning"s AMPS give me renewed HOPE. I feel like something the cat dragged in though. Sorry about the silliness of that statement. But I feel so tired and beat. @-)

Raja escaped again last night and Shadow was right at the door, getting out for a second but foiled by my reflexes. DH and I were all over the place, calling Raja's name. Trying to look under the bushes, walking around the building....looking everywhere!!. Little smarty pants was at the end of the upper walkway, laying outside my DSIL's apartment. :o She just took a walk for herself and must have thought "What are those two foolish people doing down there, screaming their fool heads off??"
#%@*% Raja=5, Beans=1. She is definitely winning. Outsmarted by my Raja. I rushed downstairs before checking the upper level thoroughly. There she was the whole time! :YMSIGH:
Big gray hairball on the rug, 2 inches from the tiled floor this morning. "Someone" is urinating in the ktichen. EEUUUuuwww. Deliberate Defiance.

It just doesn't end, does it? I have to go btb.

When I had my first cat Sparky, in college, he escaped out the front door of my apartment and i had no idea where he was for over 12 hours. I was in Florida and my parents in NJ and i called them crying and shrieking about how he couldn't fend for himself and probably got hit by a car. I was a basket case. I never slept that night and when daylight broke friends an I went looking again and by gosh he was right under my balcony behind bushes SHAKING and probably never went further than that. (And boy did he ever get it! no, he didn't) ohmygod_smile :lol:
And the WORST part was that I forgot to call my parents to tell them that I found Sparky and he was fine..now THEY were pissed and with good reason. Shame on me :oops:

Wow, great numbers Shadow. Hello Pat, too! That sneaky Raja. My neighbor's cat escaped not too long ago, and many of us neighbors were looking for her, calling her name and nothing. Finally the next morning she sneaked back in thru a space thru the patio left open for her. I hope Shadow continues today with nice numbers. Have a nice weekend.

What's up with your guys? You might want to inform them that inappropriate elimination means a trip to the dreaded vet so it's best to use the box!

Oh dear, it sounds like you have an uprising on your hands! Time to put your foot down and show them who is boss! (Good luck with that ... it doesn't work here). Bear is excited about the party. He said he wants to spiff up his fur coat a little so that he will look good for the ladies.

Gave Shad a little Merrick Surf n Turf to keep him surfing. When I went into my bedroom, Raja was sitting at attention on top of my dresser! (waiting for room service!! :o ) I ran out and got some for her and she is eating it on the dresser. How did this all happen to me? nailbite_smile I am seriously worried about myself. Now the preening has begun.

I bought some other brands to keep the interest going here and the snack was a big hit. No accoutrements either! Nope. I didn't shave any freeze dried tidbits or anything...just slopped it in the bowls and they ate it all up. Of course, they left no tip either...as usual! :YMSIGH:

Threaten Raja with putting a bell around her neck if she keeps escaping without permission. That may stop her.

What a crazy house! Sounds like mine today. Shadows is looking mighty fine in that color though! Nice and steady there boy okay......

My goodness, Pat, you have a lot on your plate! I wonder what the peeing is about, too. Hopefully you can figure out which one of them it is and make sure nothing is going on. You are such a wonderful caregiver, even if the two being cared for don't seem to know it. I hope you got a good rest in when you went btb.

Pat- I'm really not supposed to tell you this, it could get me kicked out of the club, so please don't tell that I told you. Shadow is ALWAYS bragging at these parties what a cool bean he has. He goes on and on about how you get up in the night to make sure he is feeling okay, how you set this feeding thing to give them food in the middle of the night, and how you are always cooking up new gourmet feasts for him and Raja. Raja doesn't really pipe up too much but she gets a certain look in her eye when Shadow is talking and I know she knows how awesome you are too. I wish I had a feeder that would give me food whenever. You are awesome, AND you throw great parties. Don't get too down. I know it's hard work caring for us, especially when we are sick. We appreciate it, even though we are sometimes too embarrassed to say it. See you next week at the party, and remember, DON'T TELL Shadow and Raja that I told you all this!

What terrific numbers last night and today for Shadow. Sounds like you've been paying a price for those numbers, though. Blackie disappears outside sometimes too and after much calling, looking with the flashlight, there he is as if he was there all the time. LOL We are definately underpaid staff to these kitties.

Hi Pat, Great numbers for Shad-0. "I look like something the cat dragged in"--wow, that brings back my youth. My mother used that expression all the time! I hope you are able to get some naps in today. Raja's escapades are priceless. Stu does the nonchalant re-appearing thing, too. We have to keep him in sight all the time (at some point in his life before he came to live with us he was declawed in front, so he can't go out without supervision; but he sneaks away from time to time and we go out and beat the bushes).
Stu is really looking forward to the Full Flower Moon party and is already planning which flowers he will wear and is working on some new recipes.

He is not earning any points towards a reduction but hey....look at those numbers! What a great surfing day Shadow had....and last night was looking good too. All healing numbers, right folks? That's what I see anyway. After all the horrid numbers he has had, I am thrilled to see a day like this. Just LOVE recapping so I can see it all together like that. :cool: You guys understand, right? WOO-WOOOOOO

ETA: I listened to Raja's moaning and groaning ~~BOY, she was really perturbed...I let her out. Got the fence all tight and the sides secured. Went inside to watch tv and saw with my own eyes ...my chubby little kitty flying over and landing on the opposite side of the fence. SIGH! Went out and brought her back...moved the chair really far away from the fence. THERE! That oughtta do it! I went back in and sat down and I'll be darned...she went sailing through the air again! I do not know HOW she did it. I compared her to an Equestrian in the past...NOW I am comparing her to a flying squirrel. I just do not know how she is getting over that fence without disturbing it in the least. grr_red

AND, to make matter worse for the little fuss pot...she wandered out of the kitchen while Shadow was sleeping on a chair. Sweet boy. I went in there cause I just wanted to check.....sure enough, there was a little puddle. :o I think that she was pissed that I wouldn't let her out! She did it deliberately I tell you! (pardon the pun) A battle of wits and SHE is winning!! :o
 
Numbers wise, what a day for Shadow
My heart was in my mouth as you were looking for Raja. I am so happy that my 3 kitties are afraid of the outside. Must be the 10 months of winter we have here, lol.

So it's all arranged with Kelly that Max will pick up Logan on the way down to the party.
Even though he is feeling so much better I agree with you that the ritual just works out for them.

I will tell Max to have a chat with Raja and tell her she just cannot go running out of the house.
BTW, I guess you don't know who made peepee in the kitchen? Remember when Max was doing that after the catnip many months ago??

I hope that issue goes away very quickly.
 
ya know, all this time here and it NEVER occurred to me to suggest Merrick's Surf and Turf to encourage surfing. You're a genius, Pat!

Glad I could help with a dosecrease threat, but your food choice apparently sealed the deal.
 
Was it due to catnip Randi? I remember that you moved the litter box and wow...you certainly had a time of it. Didn't know you narrowed it down to catnip though. I am afraid that she is being spiteful. At least it's on the tile....but she is really getting out of hand with this wanting to go out...
She never jumped the fence in the beginning. She loved being out there and it was great. Now, she just wants to be on the OTHER side of the fence. Not even down in the bushes. Just on the other side and maybe she will walk down to the end of the building and lay down there. She is driving us crazy!! :lol:

and Libby...LOL... Surf n Turf....maybe that helped a lot...another threat would always be welcome too if this is the kind of results it gets! :thumbup
 
Man, you got your hands full with Raja. Is she seeking attention, because Shadow still gets shots? It almost sound like something my Ginger would do.

Hey, I had 1 little ole can of Merricks Surf & Turf that I picked up and was saving for a special occasion. I fed it on Ginger's birthday on Wednesday, and J.D. surfed some greens after eating it. Maybe, we're on to something, here?

Ginger wants me to ask you if civvies are invited to the party. She's only been to 1 party before in her life, and now that she's turned six years old, she thinks she should be able to go to parties :roll:
 
What great numbers Shadow is giving you. You must be very happy with those. Flying squirrel?? You have your hands full with Raja now. I hope you can solve the unknown peeing mystery soon, if you haven't already. Maybe you should threaten the vet.
 
Of course Ginger can come....she MUST come....all kitties are welcome!!! You will get an earful when she gets home though....it is really impressive with all the kitties all together at a full moon party! Shadow and Moonie do a special moon dance that they have practiced...it is magical...and the kitties are all so quiet and are spellbound by it. They love that part of the night.

Then, they all dance for awhile and then they roll around giggling... and of course, they all howl at the moon...oh...it is SO much fun!! They love that part of the night too. And Stu is always cooking up a storm and everyone eats their fill They all love that part too! And then they laugh some more!! It is really a wonderful time and there definitely is magic in the air under the light of the big beautiful moon!

All civvies are welcome....of course, Stu only cooks low carb food but it is always delectable! It's Bring Your Own Catnip...tell your two to catch a moonbeam and come on over. As a matter of fact, if they aren't busy during the nights leading up to the party, they are welcome to come and help decorate. It's the Full Flower Moon of May....everyone will be here decorating and then there are the clean-up parties too...LOL...they just LOVEto par-tay!! (I think I should post this in yours so you will be sure to read it)
 
Wow! excellent numbers for Shadow!! very exciting!

I hope the innappropriate peeing is not due to a health issue for Raja. (if that's who's doing it) Sometimes a brewing UTI can cause behaviour like that... and sometimes it can be just a disturbing event that may have happened in or near the current litter box. You probably know all of that already. :roll:
Anyway, from what i've read most experts don't think they do things like that to be spiteful though - so I don't think you have to worry about her plotting against you :lol:

Maybe you could try adding another litter box near the area that she is using. - again IF that's who's doing it... and my apologies to her if not ;)
 
Hi Pat - you 2 little characters sure keep you on your toes. Maybe you should comp them in their allowance for Personal Trainer services provided since they seem to be experts at exercising other! And, on my, great looking numbers! See you at the party!
 
Wondering in my condo....about the kitchen and was it due to catnip? How did you get to that conclusion? I never realized you thought it was from that. I think with her it is spite when I don't let her out on the terrace. I might be wrong....and I hope it's nothing that is bothering her otherwise. It's just that she seems so fine in all other respects.....hmmmm.....

Well the first time it happened Pat was when I gave him catnip on a plastic plate, he went nuts and the next thing I new he was sitting in the plate and made a peepee. :lol: :lol:
Okay so I can laugh about it now. That was way at the beginnng when I was giving him catnip to try and get hiom to eat. Then he just started doing it again a few months later and that was when I brought the LB back upstairs, got the cat attract and out a felaway diffuser in the kitchen. Nothing has happened in the kitchen but I think there have been a couple of times back dowstairs in the carpet near the litter boxes again.

So it was Raja? Did you see her do it?
 
Ginger is so happy (excited) she gets to come to the party :mrgreen: J.D. will be bringing lots of fresh catnip. Ginger asked me to ask you if there will be lazer light shows? Silly kitty. I'll pack her lazer light with her, so she can share it.
 
I heard that Raja saved up some money & got a jet pack to fly herself over the fence!! That's just what I heard--
Could she have found a trampoline?? @-) These Katz iz krazee!!
Moonie & civvie were found outside & were out there for 6 months as kittens, there is No Way now they want to go out!!

Shadow you are doing so amazing, we are thrilled for you, being all green like that!! What a good boy you are!! That's why all the girl kitties love you!! Always exciting flip_cat flip_cat flip_cat ---Hugs from Us!! Keep it up!
 
Hope those good numbers continue! Quite a circus today in this condo with surfing cats, flying cats, disappearing cats..... Hope tomorrow isn't as exhausting :lol:
