5/22 pmbg 120

5/23 ambg 186 ( my mom visited with her dogs and Splitzie doesn't like them, so was a bit of stress for her)

Ugh... Hope tomorrow's are better... Maybe start over the otj trial.

Tomorrow Splitzie has an appointment, I might be taking her today on an emergency visit. She started getting kind of a cold over the weekend. Runny nose, sneezing, but has kinda gunky eyes and starting to have a hard time breathing, very wheezy. Will update tomorrow afternoon, or tonight if I end up running her in on an emergency visit.

Hi guys .. sorry to hear splitzie had a rough day with dogs around yesterday and it sounds like that cold isn't doing to good either .. I hope she starts feeling better soon so she doesn't have to go to the dr's ...

lol If you ask her I'm sure she will say she is. (Even though we have 2 dogs as well)

Could you get some mid-cycle tests today? If you remember the "rules" for an OTJ trial, if you get a number above 120, feed and re-test in about 3 hours. We want to see if food stimulates the pancreas to work and whether the numbers come down. You don't want to base the success of the trial on pre-shot numbers alone if they are not where you want them. Of course, if Splitzie isn't feeling well, that could be affecting numbers, too.

She hasn't been eating much the past couple days. I wanted to get a test after last night's 120, but I couldn't get her to eat. I was out most of the day today, but am about to test her again, and will see if she will eat for me this time.
Thanks for all of everyone's good wishes and advice. We were getting there, and will again.

If numbers are still elevated, you may need to abandon the trial and re-start insulin. Do not let this go too long, especially if Splitzie isn't eating.
