Yesterday's Condo

First off, thank you to everyone who posted on my condo from yesterday with inspirational and encouraging words, and lots of love and support. It really means the world to me. Sasha is doing okay today. She only ate about a third of her breakfast, but she did eat all three pill pockets without hesitation (AB, pain med, Allerplex) :-D , and she has kept it all down so far. I just went up to check on her and offered her the remaining breakfast, of which she ate about half. I do think she's still uncomfortable, which isn't surprising as the vet said they had to cut through some muscle to get the tumor out. I hope the pain med helps. This is her last day on it. She is sneezing some, but I don't want to give her anything else while she's on that pain med. If she's till sneezing tomorrow I'll give her some Zyrtec.

Cinco has been surfing blue now for quite some time. I'm wondering, if he doesn't surprise me with a trip to the lagoon today, should I do a dosecrease tomorrow? I believe he is a little constipated (had only one small poo on Tuesday and nothing since), which may account for his not going lower. I gave him Miralax and a couple drops of fish oil last night. I guess I'll have to increase the fish oil or resort to canola oil. I don't have any baby food squash, but it's on the shopping list for today. He doesn't seem to be at all uncomfortable, like he usually is when constipated. Maybe I'm just being overly cautious/anxious/nervous. As usual, I'm a lot more concerned than he is! Do you hear a helicopter?

No outside appointments today, fortunately, as there is a lot to catch up on around here, including reading condos. I have been so caught up in my own troubles I haven't read too many this week, and I see a lot of new members posting that I haven't even introduced myself to. Sorry to be so selfish. A big welcome to all the newcomers, and again, huge thanks for the support. Please keep the vines and prayers coming.

Sending healing vines to all in need, and hugs to all their beans. :YMHUG:

Tricia,

I am so sorry to read about Sasha. I hope for a good recovery for her. I hope she does not have to go through another surgery but remember how well Jamie`s Jupiter did after his surgery. Sending prayers your way. I also wanted to say what a saint you are for taking Cinco in.
You have been through a lot with him as well. But I can only imagine what could have happened to him had you not taken him in when you did he and just continue roaming the streets, bless you.

Terri

Atta boy Cinco! Looks like someone wants to dip the toes in :-D
I'm so sorry to read about the vet's call Tricia. I know you must be so worried, and I'm so glad you have everyone here to talk to. I too find inspiration from Prezel's story as well as Jupiter's. I am sending you tons of hugs and scritches for sweet Sasha :YMHUG: cat_pet_icon We will be sending positive vines your way for her Onc appt.
Please never feel bad about the civvie talk. We all get it, we all do it, and I know we all care about each other beyond just our FD kitties. Family in every sense of the word :-D

Cinco is looking awesome today!!! Prayers continue for Sasha's speedy recovery, and nothing but good news from the onco visit in a few weeks.

Tell me about it...fellow helicopter here!!

I hope you're having a great evening with the kitties, Tricia!

Cinco's numbers look great today! Continued prayers for Sasha, well, all of you! Hopefully she will continue to eat and get stronger.

Re: 5/22 Cinco AMPS 271 +3.5 174 +6 112

Sorry to be so selfish.

If I could reach through the 'puter and smack you for that statement, I would! ;-) Absolutely do not apologize, Tricia. The love and devotion you show to your furry little ones show that you are, without a doubt, one of the most self-sacrificing individuals here. You are facing a tremendous number of obstacles right now. I cannot even begin to imagine the worry, heartache, and exhaustion you are feeling. Just know that we're here for you in whatever way you need us to be...we'll cry with you, cuss with you, or just be quiet if you need us to be.

I continue to send out many thoughts and prayers for both you and Sasha. :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

(((Tricia))))

I'm sorry I've been off the board and missed Sasha's surgery and dx. I am so sorry and I hope it is not aggressive and the vet was incorrect. Keeping Sasha in our prayers that she will feel better and not be sick again. She looks adorable in her tshir

Cinco is getting some nice blue numbers. Go Cinco!

Big hugs and prayers.

Thanks for visiting, Terri, Kim, Carla, Amy, Ella, Ruth, Shelly and Marje.

Terri, you are very kind. Cinco wormed his way into our hearts, and once there, we could only do everything possible to help him. I am very lucky to have a DH that cares a lot about animals, too.

Kim, I was hoping Cinco was going to check out the lagoon, but it appears he was content to simply look at it from the shore. I don't think he'll get there tonight, either, unfortunately. You are right, this really is a family. A very caring, compassionate, helpful family.

Carla, I am so relieved every time Sasha eats for me. She doesn't gobble down her food like she normally does, but she eats her pill pockets without hesitation and she eats her meals in small doses over time. She isn't moving around a lot, so she isn't doing much to work up an appetite, so I'm just grateful she still wants to eat.

Amy, I knew you would catch that and get it! The kitties are quiet and mellow tonight, which is fine with me. I feel very drained.

Ella, thanks for the hugs, thoughts and prayers. We will take all we can get right now. The kitties always appreciate scritches, too. :-D

Ruth, you're right. They are good numbers. I'm just greedy and would like to see some green. We beans are never satisfied, are we?

Shelly, I guess I'm relieved my computer isn't high tech enough to allow for smacking. Content yourself with having done so virtually. I don't think I sacrifice more than most of the people here. We are all a sleep-deprived, party skipping, vacation missing bunch of animal lovers. My DH and I don't have two legged children, and these furry critters fill that spot in our lives. It's human nature to do anything and everything for your kids. Much as you like to call Jersey names, you proved that you are just as devoted to your babies as I am to mine!

Marje: Don't apologize. You spend so much time on the board helping people. You deserve to spend time away living your life! Thank you for the hugs and prayers and good wishes. We are just taking it one day and a time. I don't think I could stay sane if I let myself think too far ahead. Cinco is being most thoughtful in not doing anything dramatic while I'm dealing with Sasha's issues.

You are all wonderful people, and I am so lucky to have found this place. I thank God every day for the friend that told me about it. I try to pay it forward by telling anyone I meet that has a diabetic cat about FDMB.

Have a good night, everyone.

Looks like Cinco found the blues cruise again. I hope you can gets some sleep tonight Tricia. :YMHUG:

It really is a great community of like minded people. I think we all have our helicopter pilot's license too. Scritches to Sasha tonight too.
