I don't know if this is widespread, nationwide, the norm, or just local, but since diagnosis: my local Walmarts (U.S.) never seem to have any ReliOn Premier (their brand) BG strips in stock whatsoever. They always have plenty of the ReliOn Prime strips though for their now obsolete Prime meters that some still have. Every time, I've had to get the Premier strips out of town and I can no longer do it and this terrifies me. If the brand is so popular that they can't keep them in stock (at least every time I can go shopping which is only biweekly), then I must switch for the safety & survival of my baby. The closest such store to me in case of an emergency is a CVS Pharmacy, which usually doesn't have the reputation like Walmart of being routinely out of stock of countless products, so I thought I'd settle there. Any suggestions of meter brands that have a good reputation, usually accurate, etc. that I might buy there to include maybe even their house brand, I don't know (because I remember reading online, for example, Rite Aid Pharmacy used to have a very good house brand meter, but they've gone out of business here). Thanks so much!

I've ordered many other things there before, only to find out via email later (usually too late) that the store is out of stock of the item/s so they refunded my money. Then when I inquired that I thought they got their stock from a warehouse/s, they said no, they get it from the store shelves. Also, I can't afford extra shipping or buying $35 worth of items every time to get free ship or joining their W+ for it either. Did just find a section on meter comparisons, ratings, etc. under Health Links here, so I'm gonna check that as well. Thanks

I’ve never had that issue once. Folks here always recommend having 100 extra strips so you don’t run out. I would order 200 plus the lancets and always got the free shipping. I don’t pay for shipping ever. Not from chewy, not from Amazon and not from Walmart or anywhere else really. I refuse to do that. Maybe some will recommend another meter but if the test strips are going to be more expense, at the end of the day you’re going to be spending a lot more money and probably more than the cost of shipping. You also want a meter you know it’s reliable and not just any meter. My two cents.

Me neither (@ shipping). Yeah, I might just have to buy them in bulk because they sure are going fast, given that half the time there's a meter error displayed or I have to keep stalling, not to mention ICOE.
