5/22 Celia (newbie): Ketone test strips clarification

I've seen in different places on FDMB that Keto-Diastix are recommended, but had already bought the
life2O DoubleCheck Ketone Test Strips. Is there a significant difference that warrants me to exchange them for the former? I also have Life20 Urinalysis 10 Parameters Complete Kit Urine Test Strips, if that helps (due to my other non-diabetic cat that had a UTI) which includes glucose & ketones on it. On that note, do I even need the .
life2O DoubleCheck Ketone Test Strips (or Keto-Diastix) anyway if the latter (Urinalysis) strips have glucose & ketones on them already?

I don’t think it really matters which keto strips you use. I personally used the ketostix brand which is just for ketones.

Just a note on the glucose aspect of the strips, they will only really tell you if there’s glucose in the urine, which means the numbers are running above renal threshold - ECID (every cat is different) but that threshold number can be anywhere from 180 and up

There are several different brands in different countries of ketones strips. The most common ones are Ketostix and Keto-diastix. If they are testing for ketones, they are fine.
