Yesterday's condo
Well, not really sure what yesterday morning's frequent small peeing was all about, but it seems to have passed. Boots went pretty much all afternoon and into the early evening before he peed again (since noon), and it was his normal volume. Peed again later in the night, and we caught him again once today - same normal volume. So perhaps he was just spooked by something and cut himself short a couple times yesterday. We're still keeping close watch, but he seems otherwise totally normal. His appetite has been good since the weekend too, which is a relief.
We cracked open a can of Weruva chicken/turkey (Fowl Ball) and he and one of the civvies loved it. Civvie Polly won't touch wet food, but civvie Emily loves it, though she seems to have a sensitive tummy, and only tolerates certain kinds. I'm thinking of incorporating this one, and the Weruva plain chicken variety, into Boots' and Emily's diet.
So - question: how many types of canned food does everyone feed their kitties? And how do you rotate them? Different each meal? Different day-to-day? Random? I'd like to incorporate a little more variety into their meals, because as we know, they can decide they don't like something anymore at the drop of a hat, and I want to have a couple beloved varieties in the arsenal to try. Boots currently eats almost exclusively Nutro Senior Chicken loaf ever since I stopped feeding him FF Chicken after the possible formula change last Fall that seemed to be making kitties sick. So I definitely want some more variety, but I want to keep carbs pretty consistent so that varying carb content isn't a huge factor in changing his numbers much, hopefully.
Any thoughts? I'm curious what everyone does, and what has and hasn't worked for people's routines. Boots currently gets 5 meals per day (half of a 3oz can each), and tiny snacks in between.
