Good morning LL!
Tarragon is happy furry purry with all 5 p's this morning. He handled the storms and chaos last night just fine. Tarragon has finally realized that Mason is home for good. He powered through the last 4 years of 2 day visits and is always anxious when Mason gets home, waiting for him to leave again. Last night it seemed to click that Mason isn't going anywhere anytime soon as Tarragon helped him sort through boxes and put things away.
Our hearts are broken in so many ways. Thinking of Julie and sweet Punkin. Holding everyone in Moore in our hearts, especially all those parents of the elementary schools. Moore is just about 5 miles north of Norman, where Mason was a student. The movie theater and bowling alley that were destroyed was where they went at least once a week. His GF's family lost everything, but all made it through ok. The elementary school with all the casualties is the one she attended. Moore has been hit a few times. In 1999 it was almost completely destroyed by a F5. Everything was new and it was a booming city once again.
Shawnee was destroyed on Sunday, which is between OKC and Tulsa. It is a much smaller town and it was a weekend so the death toll wasn't as high. Moore was hit yesterday. It was raining on my way in again today and they are say there is a threat of the same thing again. Living in tornado alley, you still never get used to these type of storms.
Hope you all have a great day.
