Georgia and Simon (GA)

Member Since 2010
Overnight, Simon finished most of the food that I left out for him. That makes me very happy, although he didn't really want too much this morning. I am syringe feeding him before I go to work and will stop by at lunch to check on things and give him more food if he hasn't touched his. The conversation with the AC last night was very interesting. I have not used this woman before, but I really think she connected with him. She feels like a month is going to be the tipping point to where he is ready or he may stabilize on the meds. Hoping for the stabilization. She was able to tell me right away that his issues are related to his tummy and sees some type of black spot, such as cancer. She also got his personality right -- gentle, quiet, and devoted to his mommy. She says that Cleo (GA) visits Simon often but doesn't stay long indicating that it is not quite his time to leave. I will take whatever time I have as long as Simon is still having QOL.

On the decision about whether to go away this weekend to check on my cousin -- I decided to cancel. I am really not feeling well due to all the stress and if I push it this weekend, I think it is going to cause some major problems with my health. I feel bad, but hopefully I can get there in the next few weeks.

It is awesome that Simon at most of his overnight fuds...you go, Simon!! It sounds like the conversation with the AC was very good and gave you comfort.

It's too bad you had to cancel, but you do have to take care of yourself or you'll be of no good to anyone else at all! The stress and worry is very hard on us beans...I think we've all been there, done that. I hope you're able to catch up on rest and taking care of yourself this weekend.

Sending along more hugs and prayers!!

Way to go Simon! Keep eating your fuds. The AC sounds like she connected with Simon. I hope it puts your mind to ease. Bummer on canceling, but you need to do what is best for you. Have a great day Georgia!

The report sounds fruitful and comforting, Georgia. In the chaos of my day yesterday, there was a conversation about pets. Long story short: I was told about a lady named Danielle MacKinnon. MacKinnon has a connection to pets once they've crossed over and her lessons on pets is that they're here for us and come to us for a season so we can grow. Of course, the conversation was a little more in-depth than that but this lady really found great peace through Danielle MacKinnon's discussions on pets and the afterlife. I've linked it for you if you want to check into it. I've not had a chance to get there, myself, so maybe you can let me know if you do. It kind of sounds like something you might be interested in.

Hope you have a good day!

I'm glad Simon ate for you. I hope you can keep him feeling good for as long as he has. Sending prayers and hoping he stabilizes. :bighug::bighug:

Good boy, Simon, for eating your fuds! Now, keep it going! A boy's gotta eat to keep up his strength (this is what I tell Rusty).

Georgia, it sounds like the AC helped you a lot. I'm glad that she was able to set your mind at ease that you are doing the right thing. We are praying for stabilization, too.

Hugs and scritches,

Ella & Rusty

So glad to see a kitty with a healthy appetite! Keep it up Simon! Being on prednisolone gave our beloved Zener a few more months of quality with us. We were happy for each and every day.
