Well....... BLECH on yesterday. I will dub it a Mannie resting day.... :roll: :? ;-) so..... Saturday was flat yellow, yesterday was mostly pink, with a little yellow, and red... so that should mean that he's explored all the rotten colors, leaving room for only the good ones today, right? :lol: :lol: :lol: Mannie - you on board with that? I see a head nod! YES! better things today then. GO MANNIE. Lubs ya big guy, even when you go exploring on those floors that shall not be named. cat_pet_icon Think blue, think green! :-D Looks like maybe today he is!

All is well in MannieLand. :-D :-D Except that it is raining. :sad: And the Manster is none to happy about that. :? After a week of exceptional weather we are back to the wet stuff, and Mannie is back to dodging rain drops. He is so good at it. :lol: :lol: There was no way he was staying in yesterday.... It should be noted however that said need to be in the wet wild outdoors followed a dematting session - that too he was was none to happy about. :evil: But I will say he did better than most sessions. We worked on that incredibly LONGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG belly fur, and manage to get rid of about 75% of them - two nasty ones remain. I tried a different approach this time - held in on my lap, rear-end on my legs, backside on my chest/abdomen, his head under my chin, and talked to him the whole time to combed and tugged and worked he mats. Somehow it seemed to calm him... YES!!!! :-D :-D :-D :-D This morning we had a great test, shoot and clean plate club - AND the auto feeder still continues to be used by Mannie, and Elsa still thinks it has her name on it, and is ever so happy when he chooses to ignore it , which he did today - first one that is, yet again.... Some things just never change. Normalcy in MannieLand. :-D

Have a great day everyone! It is catch up day here, again, with errands and bills to pay. I didn't quite seem to get them all done on Saturday.... :? :? later in the afternoon I hope to get a short hike in. Paws crossed! :-D :-D

Hey everybody! What's up??? I SO WANNA GO TO THE DUNES! Tess? are they dry? can we? huh??? please???? Dunes sliding for sure! Well - I hopes we can go... Hey! guess what Auntie EllaBean figured out the inner tube on the river thing - if we lay in the middle, with our feet in the air, then we won't puncture the tubes with out claws! AND! We can steer with our tails. SWEET! So... we gots to try that soon, But today - I still wanna go to the dunes...and grill.. and stuff... You guys in? ~~ Mannie

Dont be too sure where Mannie is heading Michelle! Their duty is to give us surprises. Mannie, turn around towards the blue. You can do it!

Hi Michelle, lots of good ~O) ~O) to you, too! I bet if I lived close by, we would be good coffee buddies and find any excuse to have coffee togeher! :-D Maggie is predicting that Mannie will see some greens today. Yeah, Amy is right as Mannie can be full of surprises. I hope the rain stops or slows down enough for you to get in a short hike or walk. Now don;t forget, Mannie! Think pretty greens!

Mannie, the dunes at Tess's place sounds so fun! The weather should be perrfect, too! I'll bring some good appetizers and stuff. See ya soon, Mags

Morning Helen - this is so true! One never knows with Mannie. He's always shaking tings up. I too hope the +2 was just a blip on the radar and he'll head back down. Right Mannie?

Progress, but you need to come just a little further Mannie. Catchup day here too, but for me it is mostly catching up on condos! Lots going on this weekend.

Mannie, perfect dunes weather with a nice cool breeze blowing in off the ocean! Dune buggies are all ready and I've reserved a spot to grill! It helps having an Auntiebean who is a Ranger! -- Tess

Definitely better than those stinkus pinkus numbers! Poor Mannie...I can only imagine a dematting session with his long beautiful fur. Have you thought about making jewelry with Mannie's fur? I think I saw that on some show. You could make lots of money!

Mannie, what is it with the flat yellows? Are you saving up for some flat blue tonight?

I went to a fabric arts show a number of years ago and a couple of pieces were woven shawls from cat hair. I bet one from Mannie's long hair would be just beautiful.

I was just POSITIVE today was going to be a Green Mannie Day!!!

Yay...bean won over the Manster in the grooming contest!!!!

So now we shoot for tomorrow for a green day...ok Mannie?

Bumming the rain and on yesterday. Not a bad day today for the big guy. Congrats on the dematting. I gave up. We just wait and when Tarragon has a big mat, DH holds him and I cut. DH does need to shave T's belly fur for summer soon. That is always a treat.

Hi Ann - well that it was until PMPS rolled around. What a disappointment. oh well... yep, you sounded really busy! I try to keep up with all going on here, but am failing miserably. So many new people I don't know.

Hi Georgia - yes it is better than yesterday - but wow, sure didn't want to see that pmps. I just hope he can bring it down. and yes on the dematting session - they can be a challenge - it's really tough with that belly fur. I think I will have to check into his fur -for whatever. Wendy said she saw a shawl. Interesting possibilities!

Hi Wendy - that would be so nice - flat blues. I so hope he goes therm though wow with that pmps. not too sure we will make that. guess we shall see! very interesting on the shawls made of cat fur. :cool: I get so much off of Mannie - wow, bet I could make a shawl or two.

Hi Marje - no green Mannie today. This looks like we are back to his three day bounce stuff... one never knows with him, the pattern is never the same... makes it tough. and yes - I did win this round on the grooming. YAY. I remember when he used to love being brushed - not any more. bummer!

Hi Melissa - yep on the darn rain - it has been relentless today. oh well, really normal for here for this time of year. I hear you on the dematting. I keep trying, but some days are just a bear to deal with him. I got lucky yesterday. I once shaved his rear end and belly - sure did help. Might have to go there again.Must be fun to do Tarragon. :shock:

Hi Roni - that it must! I hope this one comes down soon. :-D Yup - looks like the three day thing has returned, but you are right also: this is Mannie, and anything is fair game. :lol: :lol: Thanks on the dematting - it really seemed to work well that way - he was much more relaxed. So we will try it that way again. :cool:

Yo Mannie, YOu gave up some mats today? Did it hurt? You are right, we need to go dune sliding. That's always good for mats!

Hi Michelle, pretty neat the way you are de-matting now! I don't know why, but Rusty hardly ever gets mats, and he has so much hair. But he's grooming all the time, and Edward combs him every day, too.
Mannie's numbers will come down tomorrow, I think. He likes his patterns! Bummer on your rain. We are having an extraordinary streak of fine weather (but tonight we have welcome rain). Did you see the eclipse?

Have a good evening. Sorry to be so late. We had a great day on the water and this evening I "wasted" a lot of time looking at the MJ syringes. 10 good ones out of 200. I don't think that's acceptable!!!

Hi Ella - I hope so on Mannie - he does like routine - he has three or four of them, what makes it fun is trying to decipher which one he is on. nice on your weather!! Wish we had that - though I won't complain - the week prior was so good! and no -no eclipse: we were really clouded over, couldn't see a thing. which really was a bummer. I did read your comments on the syringes - i will have to check on mine. you are right - that is not acceptable, and so much for quality control. and no problem on the timing of your post - i'm usually up anyways... your day sounds so nice! I love the water.
