all is well in the Land of the Sugar Meezers!

Lucy is cracking me up daily, as always. Everyone should have such a happy kitty! Her latest thing is to stand on the half wall that goes around the kitchen and stand on her head to be petted. Usually she forgets that the ledge is about 4 inches wide and she is, um, considerably wider than 4 inches. Sometimes she turns upside down so much that it almost becomes a somersault, but then she falls onto the counter below. Luckily it's less than a foot down. She never stops purring, though, and hops right back up for more petting. She likes to run up the stairs and even at 16 pounds can still jump. She luvs her brother Sammy but still doesn't like Jazzy. She is insanely jealous when Jazzy gets tested. Today I "rewarded" her with a test of her own - 72. That's my girl.

Jazzy seems to have hit a good place now too. Last week I took her to the vet for a recheck of her urine, and it was negative for glucose. She is under renal threshhold almost all the time, except when I mess her up. She is on 12.5 units of Lev, and now that I'm feeling a bit better I have been adding a drop of R here and there. Yesterday she seemed "off," for some reason, so I shot half dose. Even that didn't really mess her up and she is right back on track today. She has started purring for her tests, which is a big improvement over biting me.

91 degrees today - summertime is coming to Charleston! Thank goodness for central air conditioning.

Libby, it was nice to get to laugh at a condo today. Lucy sounds adorable. I like the visual of her almost somersaulting, to get her head petted. Aww, Lucy faw down to lower counter. (teehee)
Good that Jazzy is doing well too :-D
I never did know what 'R' means; I see it all the time on here.

oh wow, I just realized that Lucy's "assigned" birthday is on June 1. She will be 9 years old! Siamese Rescue assigned her a birthday of 6/1/02 when they pulled her from a shelter in June 07 because they thought she was about 5 years old. She came home to me on 9/15/07. Now I have to remember to open a birthday condo soon!

Hey, I've never been in this condo before...I like how you've decorated. Nice to hear about your fur babies. Lucy sounds a lot like my civvie, Harp. He's almost 13 years old, but acts just like a kitten!

Wow, Jazzy is on 12 units? That R stuff is great! It's nice to see something work for a change! Have a great Saturday.

Lucy sounds so funny and cute with the half wall and taking a fall onto the below counter. Glad to hear she is doing so well. Nice to hear Jazzy is also doing well. Some kitties will never be friends but just tolerate each other! It was the same way with my GA kitty and Maggie. Lucy must be thinking, "that's my testing spot, even if I'm not using it!"

Lucy is flippin' for some luving. Cute. I can just see her doing it too.

And Jazzy is purring for the tests....That is a milestone....What a very patient bean she has.

I think one of the best parts of this forum is reading the stories about the kitties. It helps give a sense of personality to their pictures. Sounds like you live with a couple of real characters. Thanks for sharing.

Good evening Libby, Nice to hear about the antics your babies were carrying on this morning.. Have you any other photos of Lucy and Jazzy & Sammy?.. I sure would like to see them.. I saw the one in your profile, just wondering if you had more to share..? Thanks for bringing some laughs our way to day.. :-D I for one definitely needed it..
I couldn't agree more with nina's comment.. Always purring over biting..
Lucy's birthday is June 1st.. That makes her a Gemini just like me.. No wonder she's such a goof ball
Have a purrrrrfect evening ;-)

YAY for oldtimers condos - I just love them. It is a treat to read about others kitties, how they are doing, their antics. and yes - purrs are better than bites. :-D Everyone seems to be ding so well there. well done!

wow on the 91. I wonder if we even cleared 51 today....

have a great night libby - thanks for the post - I enjoyed reading it.

Hi Libby and furry kids,
Nice to read about all those goings on today. Lucy is too much!!
Thanks, Libby, for the advice on Rusty's dose. I am going to raise it, because I think, too, that he has lost too much momentum recently. I think I'll begin by adding a drop and going up to a fat 0.75, maybe even to a skinny 1 unit. We'll see where he is tomorrow morning.
Have a lovely evening, Did you say 91 degrees today??!

Lucy has the most spectacular eyes...and absolutely she is wider than 4 inches    Gorgeous

The whole family is beautiful, Libby! Lucy looks wonderful and up to her old tricks. She wouldn't be Lucy if she wasn't  My dad's birthday was June 1st and he was spectacular too.Now I understand even more :-D

How is Mickey boy doing? Is he feeling good? He is just adorable!

Thanks for sharing the stories and the photos...as usual

I love reading your condos! Lucy is such a sweet girl .. I love her pictures, some pictures I think oh my gosh she looks just like mocha, but then other pics her eyes are so much bluer I know that its not mocha .. Funny how much they look alike ..

Thanks for sharing the updates and the pictures .. I'm glad to hear jazzy is doing so well and is under the threshold level so often .. you do so great with your kitties!
