Last nigt I spent even more time trying to teach the new ones here, but they are so unfocused!I gives up! Lola still wants to play hocvkey wiht the beans, Bug just wants to eat all the product! I had to reorder more ice cream!!!  so. well. anyways. onwards! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and Triple shot espressos, with beans from deep within the interior of Panama: Panama Paso Ancho, AND.... for all my Mocha fans: a Venti quad blackberry infused white mocha, with apple cimmamum whip, garnished with caramelized apple clusters, white chocolate shavings, a dusting of cimmamum and blackberry drizzle. AND a dollop of Blackberry sorbet .... YUM! Mannie made such good things! I am so glad I found his recipe book..... I wonder why he never added ice cream.... it is mega good.....
I'm sorry I missed you all yesterday - the hike was long, and then my DS stopped by shorty after..... I will do better today!
What a great day yesterday! I spent the day on two hikes in Eastern Washington. It was a long drive: three hours each way, but so worth the effort! Weather was sunny with a few clouds, warm, with a breeze that kept things cool. The drive was beautiful, even if it was long. I went to Beezley Hills Preserve, which is a protected area that has such a wonderful display of wildflowers. Some had already bloomed out, but there still was alot to see. Bring on the bitterroot! After my stay there I went to Ancient Lakes, an area at the end of a canyon/coulee hike in that has the prettiest set of lakes. I had a great time! The lakes were so pretty - and still maintained their color difference, I so hope that comes through in the photos.
On the way home I stopped in at a lookout spot next to the Columbia River, where I90 crosses over the Mighty Columbia. WHAT VIEWS! Here is the Picassa links to the photos and the video. Traveling: Snoqualmie Pass, I90, Beezley Hills Preserve, Columbia River Gorge, and Ancient Lakes
All is well with the new furkids: Lola and Bug! The kitties have adapted so well here! I really can't believe how successful integration has been. They are playful, cuddly, just plain happy.
I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL NICHOLAS MEETS THEM!!! what will we get? he will be thrilled, and I so wonder what Lola and Bug will think of him.
  Well, we will know in a day or two... In the meantime they have there initial evaluation with my vet today, just to make sure all is well. I will let you know how they do. Paws crossed for a good vetty visit! After that I am off to Seattle for coffee with a friend. WOO HOO! A social outing. Have a great day everyone!
And kitties? THINK BLUE! THINK GREEN!
