Good Morning LL!! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ( Hike recovery mode - Elsa, you had better amke LOTS!), and Happy Tuesday!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista! HEY! I am so glad that I have Mannie's espresso recipe book, he made such GOOD STUFF! Thanks Mannie! Last nigt I spent even more time trying to teach the new ones here, but they are so unfocused!I gives up! Lola still wants to play hocvkey wiht the beans, Bug just wants to eat all the product! I had to reorder more ice cream!!!  so. well. anyways. onwards! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and Triple shot espressos, with beans from deep within the interior of Panama: Panama Paso Ancho, AND.... for all my Mocha fans: a Venti quad blackberry infused white mocha, with apple cimmamum whip, garnished with caramelized apple clusters, white chocolate shavings, a dusting of cimmamum and blackberry drizzle. AND a dollop of Blackberry sorbet .... YUM! Mannie made such good things! I am so glad I found his recipe book..... I wonder why he never added ice cream.... it is mega good.....

I'm sorry I missed you all yesterday - the hike was long, and then my DS stopped by shorty after..... I will do better today!

What a great day yesterday! I spent the day on two hikes in Eastern Washington. It was a long drive: three hours each way, but so worth the effort! Weather was sunny with a few clouds, warm, with a breeze that kept things cool. The drive was beautiful, even if it was long. I went to Beezley Hills Preserve, which is a protected area that has such a wonderful display of wildflowers. Some had already bloomed out, but there still was alot to see. Bring on the bitterroot! After my stay there I went to Ancient Lakes, an area at the end of a canyon/coulee hike in that has the prettiest set of lakes. I had a great time! The lakes were so pretty - and still maintained their color difference, I so hope that comes through in the photos. :-D :-D :-D :-D On the way home I stopped in at a lookout spot next to the Columbia River, where I90 crosses over the Mighty Columbia. WHAT VIEWS! Here is the Picassa links to the photos and the video. Traveling: Snoqualmie Pass, I90, Beezley Hills Preserve, Columbia River Gorge, and Ancient Lakes

All is well with the new furkids: Lola and Bug! The kitties have adapted so well here! I really can't believe how successful integration has been. They are playful, cuddly, just plain happy. :-D I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL NICHOLAS MEETS THEM!!! what will we get? he will be thrilled, and I so wonder what Lola and Bug will think of him.     Well, we will know in a day or two... In the meantime they have there initial evaluation with my vet today, just to make sure all is well. I will let you know how they do. Paws crossed for a good vetty visit! After that I am off to Seattle for coffee with a friend. WOO HOO! A social outing. Have a great day everyone!

And kitties? THINK BLUE! THINK GREEN!

The clouds were especially beautiful, all wispy and sweet. Enjoy your day!!

Hey Elsa! I hope you gets those two newbies trained pretty soon. You know how those newbies are.... they can be challenging. ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile Maybe we should start a dire beasties hockey team? Lola could teach??? See you in a sec for fun! My bean says your bean is going to the big city....maybe we can play in the treehouse and use the zip lines? Make pizzas for lunch? - oliver

Morning Michelle, wow on those pics, just awesome and I love the beautiful pics of wildflowers. I think we are all waiting to hear about the meet and greet with Nicholas. So glad they are adapting so well. Sending good Vetty vines. Is this just routine check-ups?

Elsa, I can't wait for my coffee, and it is sorely needed today. I love the Triple Espressos and 10 Hour Energy coffee and the special ice cream drink, Auntie Ann

I'm glad the integration is going smoothly. Perhaps Elsa was a little lonely? Can't wait to see Nicholas's reaction. :-D Have a great day, Michelle!

Awesome pictures, Michelle. The lake colors did photograph well, too! What a neat spot that must be, with those dramatic canyons and the beautiful wildflowers. The mountain pass was spectacular.

Elsa, you are doing a great job with the ~O) . I'm glad you're training those newbies. They needed to be taken in hand!

Enjoy your day in Seattle, Michelle. Enjoy those kitties and I hope that the meet and greet vetty visit goes well.

Check in with you later,

Ella & Rusty

Hey Elsa, I'm coming to the treehouse, too. See you later. I'll put up a notice in my condo, too.
Rusty

Congratulations on the new kittehs! I am still catching up after the weekend away , then yesterday i couldn't see the computer. I got some cheater readers today though! :-D :-D :-D I need to go back and catch up, are they the ones you were looking at? And a smooth integration! Lucky you. Tess is still the spoiled brat w/ poor little Emma.

Elsa, Treehouse ! YAY! Mannie worked so hard to get it just right for us kittehs. I always know he is there with us! You gots new sibs??? I hope you know how to keep them in their place, which is not in your space! cat(2)_steam -- Tess

I hope everything went well with the vetty visit for Lola and Bug today. It will be interesting to see how they react to Nicholas.

Wow....that was quite an adventure for you yesterday :-D !!! I'm glad to hear the integration is going so well...I hope Elsa has settled in with her new family, too. Sending belated good vetty vines for the newbies!

Hi Everyone!

We survived vetty! Vet went ok. :-D  Bug does have a heart murmur, plus his rate was a little fast. So, in a few months I will take him into Mannie's cardio vet and get a a baseline done on him. it is the only way to tell if there is an issue, or not. Cats can live with murmurs and have no problems so we will hope that is the case with him, and that the fast heart beat was just due to vet stress. If not, and there is an issue then we can go from there. She did say that he has apparently been a stray, active tom for most of his 5 years. She can tell by his body structure (SOLID muscle), his jowls, and his reactions to being poked. Not too surprised. I could tell by his coat, and general appearance. amazing what a few days at home and some good brushing will do... What is great is that he is so mellow, even at the vet today, loves to cuddle and purr. :-D Lola has a URI: kitty cold, so she is on antibiotics for that. I suspected as much as she started sneezing early this morning, consistently. Otherwise she is fine. She was so agitated there, but they won her over with that canned cheese junk. She loves it, so she left there happier, and looking for more cheese. LOL! All in all, a good visit.

On the home front: Elsa is doing very well with them. Tonight at dinner she and Lola were nose to nose, sniffing, no hisses. Still both are wary, but this is progress! They all ate dinner together, CPC all around. Tomorrow we see what N thinks of them, and what they think of him. Could be fun!

Hi Ann - thanks! They have been such a good addition! Lola was one of the two we were looking at. The other, Esme, was adopted no more than 5 minutes before we got there. It OK though as the lady she went do really wanted her. We just happened to see BUG in the cat colony room, and he caught my attention. It was like it was when we adopted Mannie - he came right up to us, was such a snuggle bunny in the meet and greet room, that we knew he was for us. Lola was the same too - very affectionate. We did get lucky with the integration - those too hit it off from the get go, and Elsa has really come around. LOL on the cheater reader! whatever works I say... :-D
TESS! YUPP! Treehouse! I am so glad that kitties still will come here. it will make Mannie so happy! He loved his treehouse. Yeah..... I got new sibs.... they are kinda a pain - they gets into all my stuff. But I showed them! No more messing with my stuff! Errr..... newbies! what to so with them... ~~ Elsa

HI Carla - THX, it did go well. few minor issues, but all will be well. They had a good visit, even if Lola was kinda : "NO WAY! " with them . I so agree on what they do with Nichols.... this could be fun! :-D

Awesome adventure is right! When you said east at first I thought just east, but all the way south to the Columbia. :o You must have had good traffic to make it in that time. The photos are amazing.

I'm glad the vetty visit found not too much wrong and paws crossed for a good cardio vetty visit for Bug. Cool on the nose touch between Lola and Elsa. :-D I too can't wait to hear how the meet and greet goes with Nicholas.

Hi Amy - sorry I missed your post! YES on the adventure! Mega good fun, and beautiful! Oh me too on the integration. so so glad on that one! it's even better tonight. Yes too on Elsa - slowly she is settling, which makes me think further that she was just lonely once Mannie crossed to the ridge. In the long run I believe that her new family will be just what she needed. THX too on the vetty vines - it did go well.

Hi Wendy - yes on the adventure. The location is mostly east/south east close to the middle of Washington, at a section where the Columbia starts its southerly route, before it heads west. The drive was about three hours, and I did get lucky with the traffic. YAY! THX on the pics -hiking over there is truly outstanding. The flowers are awesome! Me too on the vetty, all in all they are OK. The URI will be taken care of and we will see how it goes for Bug and the cardio stuff. Hopefully it won't be a big issue. oh yes on nicholas: full report tomorrow! :-D :-D

Hi, Michelle!
Amazing pics! I used to live near Portland and have fond memories of The Gorge.
I'm glad the vetty visits went well. Canned cheese? :?

I can't wait to hear about the Nicholas introduction!

I hope you're having a good night!

Elsa, my bean loved the ice cream coffee drink this morning. I think she's getting spoiled... Tree house was fun today! But I came home with a limp and bean is worried ~ maybe tomorrow you can put an extra scoop of ice cream in her coffee and she'll be distracted and not worry so much. Thanks, Lil Bit!! ~Ripley

Hi Josie - THX! It is an amazing place to hike in. I try and go there every year. I am sure you remember it well. and LOL!!! YES! Canned cheese. gross stuff, but Lola sure liked it. Kinda like cheez wizz in a can. BLECH! And I can't wait to see the Nicholas Intro - this will be great!! :-D :-D :-D :-D
Ripley ~ AWESOME! oh oh on your leg... what happened? at the treehouse? oh no. I will make sure whatever did that gets fixed. I is sorry! And I will do as you ask - extra ice cream for your bean tomorrow, then she won't notice so much. You need the KTSS? They will make it go away fro sure... see you tomorrow. I will tell your bean not to worry too much, just get better OK? ~~ Elsa
