Cosmo ate really well overnight...yay! Going to his bowl on his own. He is eating wetted down/mushy kibble (small batch servings, so not being left out) and ate a full daily portion over the last 24 hrs.

He was also on a bounce day, so we should see him break it today/tonight.

Now the challenge begins on when/how to reintroduce wet food. Whether he will still have wet food aversion, etc. Give it a couple days? A week? Definitely not going back to Wellness, but maybe RC intense beauty...it is MC, but he did so well on it (GI wise) for a long time.

Taking the win on eating! Yay!

Tanya, it seems like both Ruby and Cosmo decided to go on a hunger strike at the same time last week, so I missed your posts about him not eating amidst all of my own drama. I'm really happy to hear that his appetite is coming back again.

I'd try putting just a little spoon of wet food with his mushed up kibble and increase it a little bit each day. Don't mix it so that he has the option of going for it or not to encourage him to continue eating the kibble if he wants it. This is how I transitioned Ruby to raw food.

Good luck. :bighug:

Can you try a different flavor if the same wet food brand? That might take care of any food aversion if that’s an issue. When nauseous they often prefer dry food. I think that’s because most don’t have a strong odor. I’m glad he’s feeling better.
