Don't get me wrong, Karen, I love your little monkey, but she's the last one I expected to see here. Guess I have to go look for old threads.

Yeh, surprise, eh?

The cyclosporin for her IMHA gave her pancreatitis. Apparently very rare, but you know AstroMonkey - she likes rare and unusual. So I have been watching her BGs, and sure enough, up they came. Sigh.

She has been completely off the cyclosporin now for 6 days. The nausea is gone, the diarrhea is 90% resolved, and the vet noticed yesterday that her blood was noticeably less lipemic - but still fattier than we would like. Still, all signs pointing to recovery. The IMHA is responding well, so we reduced the Pred, too.

Seriously hoping that since it was drug induced, it was a one-time event.

Love all you guys, but just want this to be a short visit to LL. Would much rather chat socially. :lol:

Good to hear things are getting better, and I too hope that Astrophe's stay is short back here. Here's hoping it's like a mini un-vacation, and you guys are off to the falls again.
 
PM PS 140

Her PM PS (2.5 hrs after supper) was 7.8 (140) ... now that's more like it! Gave 0.25u

She is getting positively perky! :-D

Sounds like good news from the vet. I do hope that this is just a bit of R and R for your kitty's pancreas.
