I'm pretty sure Trix had another kibble raid last night - poor Mr P is working overtime, but is doing a great job this morning! Mid-evening, kibbles were down for civvie Petey, and DH was watching a movie while I was in the computer room visiting condos. I headed back to the family room after maybe half an hour, and spotted Trix sitting in the hallway. Uh oh!!! DH said he didn't see or hear anything - but he was also deeply engrossed in "Thor", and he was curled up on the couch with a coffee table obstructing his view of the kibbles. I'm pretty sure she was successful at that time. I think and hope her AMBG is up there because she WAS successful in getting more kibbles, since that means it's a temporary thing. We have to watch it much more closely now, like we used to before the pancreatitis. He also said he fell asleep with kibbles on the floor in the middle of the night (he was up with Frankie), so maybe Trix came down and snuck some then, too, although I think that is less likely than the earlier possible raid. So I hope that is why her AMBG is up there.
She spent the WHOLE evening hanging out with us after that, though! She curled up and snoozed on the back of the couch, rather than heading back up to her rocking chair. Another big kitten step. She did insist on her test and breffis up on the rocking chair, though. That's OK...one step at a time!
She was feisty with fluids again last night. We were switching her to every other night, and Sunday night was supposed to be 100mls, then last night was going to be a skip night. Sunday, she was having nothing to do with it - we only got 25mls in. So we had to count Sunday as her skip night and do fluids again last night. Last night, it was a challenge, but we did get through 75mls before she walked off. She was so easy with fluids when we first started doing them! I guess she's really feeling better now...
The gelcaps are getting much easier. I've now had a couple "hole in one" shots, and most don't take more than two or three tries. She always does have a very cute little look on her face when it goes down.
She was insanely snuggly all day yesterday. At one point, I stopped at her rocking chair, which is right outside the bathroom, for a few pets. THen I continued to the bathroom to take a shower. I turned around, and there she was right behind me, asking for more pets. As I kneeled on the floor to pet her, she put one paw on my leg and another on my chest, so I picked her up for a nice hug. She just melts me...AND prevents me from getting anything done  !
Speaking of which...gotta squeeze in a quick pre-work workout. Have a wonderful day, LL!
