Hi Everyone, 9 A.M. on Thurs.,,20 May. We are here at camp, but this won’t get posted until this evening. Stu has bounced (303 this A.M.) and was even bouncing at bedtime last night. Won’t be able to get many readings today, but will get one before we leave on the paddle. Mr. Cat is subdued and I don’t think he’s too happy to be here. It’s pretty cold! But he’s expecting all his kitty friends today for the big mouse cook (first the hunt: so far no mice !!!). But they’ll find something else to cook if no mice show up. More later today.

4:20 P.M. I won’t be able to post this for a few hours, Stu is sleeping. He was in the mid blues at +9.5, so he had probably been lower earlier. He “saved” his food and didn’t eat anything until we got back from the paddle. Of course, he and all his friends had been partying and ate all of whatever they cooked. Lots of dirty dishes in the sink! Still no word on whether or not they caught any mice.
Our paddle was great, but very windy and rough on the way back. No casualties, however. The day was sunny and quite warm after a cold beginning. We paddled 5 miles down the lake, through some scenic islands, to a beach (which was mostly under water), where we had lunch and then paddled back in a stiff wind and whitecaps. Then we all sat around and had a little party ourselves. 7 intrepid paddlers braved the windy waters.
We’re going to our friends’ house for dinner and I’ll be able to post this there this evening. Hope everyone had a great day. We’ll be back home tomorrow, around noon.
