Good Friday Morning, Everyone,

Getting a late start this morning: woke up with vertigo and it took a while to subside (it's an occasional thing from an old head injury--permanent inner-ear damage). Rusty had a good night. We had the doors to the porch open because it was so much warmer than it had been, and he spent some of the night on top of a trunk, by the screened windows (one of Stu's favorite perches). Woke us up 1 minute before the alarm. We had a good test, good shot (my new 31 gauge Monojects are much better than the 30 gauge), good breakfast, and Rusty took a nap while I did lots of necessary odds and ends and got my head back in shape. Edward is baking bread and when it is finished we are going to walk to the post office.
Tomorrow we (but not Rusty) will go down to "Camp Stu" for the first time this year to get it ready for the season (our friends, who look after it for us, have already put the water line into the lake). Then we will go to "PaddleFest", a big canoe and kayak exposition in Old Forge that we go to every year just for fun. Then home. This will be a long day with about 175 miles of driving. We decided not to take Rusty this time and stay overnight at camp because we didn't want to leave him there alone for his first visit there during the time we will spend at PaddleFest. He'll get to go to camp the week after Memorial Day.

Back later. Linda, I'm thinking of you today. MJ, prayers being sent for Butthead.

Re: 5/20 Rusty AMPS 106

Good Morning all! YAY!!! Camp STU! Mannie is so very excited - it is his favorite place ever. :-D :-D

Enjoy paddlefest - it sounds like fun. Have a really good time. Good decision I think to leave Rusty at home. Plenty of time to introduce him to camp Stu.

Love this: "We had the doors to the porch open because it was so much warmer than it had been, and he spent some of the night on top of a trunk, by the screened windows (one of Stu's favorite perches)" - I remember you writing about the perch... and the porch. That reminds me of Mannie and Stu stories, always a delight.

Hey Rusty! What's up? You by yourself there??? Wanna come and hang out some? Tess wants to go to the beach again. You in? More grilln' ,maybe? I can picks you up. ~~ Mannie

Nice AMPS for Rusty, things are getting back to normal. I know he travels well, but I think it's a good idea to leave him home today.

Rusty, you alone on the porch? Sounds like a great place to chillax. How's the cellar? Bucket brigade needed? We could surprise your mom when she gets home. -- Tess

Re: 5/20 Rusty AMPS 106

Great AMPS for Rusty today!!! How nice you can sleep with the porch access open and he can go out there. Wonder if he was looking for his little friend?

I hope your vertigo is totally subsided. It sounds like you have an absolutely wonderful day planned at Camp Stu. I am so looking forward to being able to be with Mike more when I retire....it always sounds like you all have so much fun.

Hmmmm...baking bread again?? Somehow the USPS didn't get me the last CARE pkg from you with freshly baked bread

BTW, I also use the 31g Monojects...HUGE difference for us.

Hi Again, Everyone,
Today is a chore day. Tomorrow is when we go to Camp Stu and Paddlefest. I hope we have better weather tomorrow: thunderstorms today, with very humid air and intermittent sunshine.
Rusty is GREEN and looks set up for a nice green surf this afternoon. He's been in and outside with Edward. I cleaned his litterboxes. We are getting stuff together to take to camp so that when we bring Rusty down there we'll have more room in the car.
Back later,
Ella & Greenie

Hi Ella!

Hope your vertigo is better. A friend of mine gets it from time to time and it's not fun. Sounds like your going to have a great time at Camp Stu tomorrow. Great move on bringing some of Rusty's stuff up now so you'll have more room in the car and be prepared for Rusty's visit up there.

Stu must have clued him in about the trunk being an A1 spot. ;-)

Great #'s for Rusty today.

I use the monoject 31 also.

Have a great day tomorrow.

What a very nice day for Rusty, Ella.
Ohhhhhh I think I smell fresh bread. Oh yes, I have a great imagination for aromas. :-D

Re: 5/20 Rusty AMPS 106, +5.5 80, +10 109

Rusty is looking good today. I wonder what trouble he has in store while you're gone tomorrow!

I hope the vertigo clears. It can be nasty.

Vertigo is definitely not fun. Plz take care Ella.

Re: 5/20 Rusty AMPS 106, +5.5 80, +10 109, PMPS 132

Thanks, everyone,
We seem to have a mini bounce going. But tonight's shot was a good one, so I think it will all be OK (Rusty, being on Lev, doesn't begin onset until +4.5 or thereabouts).
My vertigo is an old story from the early 1980s. I was racewalking with a friend in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, and an out-of-control cyclist hit us from behind coming down a steep hill. We all 3 wound up in the ER. I was dizzy for months after the accident--something got knocked astray in my inner ear. Ever since, when this little ball in the ear gets loose and rolls around, the vertigo comes back. Fortunately, I can stop it pretty well by altering the position of my head (can't look up when it is bad, so this morning when I had to look up to see the insulin in the syringe, it got worse!!).

Everyone have a good evening,
Ella & Rusty

Hi Ella - What a nice day for Rusty!

here I was going to inquire about paddlefest until I read that was tomorrow. Well bummer on the chores.... I ignored mine.

Wow on the ear injury. At least you know how to control it. Be careful though.
