Good Friday Morning, Everyone,
Getting a late start this morning: woke up with vertigo and it took a while to subside (it's an occasional thing from an old head injury--permanent inner-ear damage). Rusty had a good night. We had the doors to the porch open because it was so much warmer than it had been, and he spent some of the night on top of a trunk, by the screened windows (one of Stu's favorite perches). Woke us up 1 minute before the alarm. We had a good test, good shot (my new 31 gauge Monojects are much better than the 30 gauge), good breakfast, and Rusty took a nap while I did lots of necessary odds and ends and got my head back in shape. Edward is baking bread and when it is finished we are going to walk to the post office.
Tomorrow we (but not Rusty) will go down to "Camp Stu" for the first time this year to get it ready for the season (our friends, who look after it for us, have already put the water line into the lake). Then we will go to "PaddleFest", a big canoe and kayak exposition in Old Forge that we go to every year just for fun. Then home. This will be a long day with about 175 miles of driving. We decided not to take Rusty this time and stay overnight at camp because we didn't want to leave him there alone for his first visit there during the time we will spend at PaddleFest. He'll get to go to camp the week after Memorial Day.
Back later. Linda, I'm thinking of you today. MJ, prayers being sent for Butthead.
