Here's a picture to start the day - it's of my favorite part of the deck. notice the squirrel on the deck rail!

ohmygosh, that looks just like punkin. and we have those squirrels on our windowsills all the time. i'll try again.

grrr it keeps telling me there's a server error, the site might be down for maintenance. i suck at putting pictures up.

Keeping Linda in my thoughts today....I'm so sorry that it was Miss Emily's time to cross. Also keeping MJ and Butthead in my thoughts....sending strength and gentle hugs to all of them.

I'll try to attach some cockatiel chick pics..they look like birds now, not little dinosaurs anymore! They have started flying and giving me heart attacks as they learn how to navigate and land without crashing! They are not all that interested in eating at this stage, so feeding has become a process of trying to hold them down long enough to get enough food in them to avoid drastic weight loss. :lol: It's like a circus clown act....one tries to eat, while the other tries to climb up and take off....or they both want to eat at the same time, but only a cc or so before they are off again. They are cute and cuddley, and very sweet....but I'll be happy to see them off to their new homes! Not for a few more weeks at least though....

do the red cheeks indicate that those are males, laurie, or are they all red-cheeked?

2 years in a row we had chickadees hatch in the birdhouse on our porch. one year i watched them emerge from the house - it was awesome. they were so bad at flying! our van was parked in front of the house and they kept trying to land on it, then slid down the side. it was hysterical. a wonderful moment.

*gasp* i did it! that's my first upload to youtube - and then i got it here too. woot!

just a little sharing of punkin's compulsive licking - first me then anya. he purrs the whole time - no idea why he likes it so much, maybe it's his way of loving us.

hahahaha, so you know how to get your boys to behave! fix a chicken. wow are they ever paying attention! i had a short haired tuxedo girl - she was the love of my life. tarragon is just beautiful. charlie too. labs are such lovers.

aw, you guys are so nice. only a mom could love those curly whiskers and that compulsively licking tongue. he's a happy boy! i am always amazed that he got overlooked at the shelter for months, because i thought he was a keeper from the first moment. but i'm glad he waited for me.

i'm glad we've got this condo to post pics and chat. makes it cheery. anybody else have pics to share?

My husband has a good habit of dropping pieces here and there clumsy guy. It keeps them interested anyway!

That is such a cool picture of Rusty. He does look like an owl, or like he sees one! He is beautiful!

I've got to save the pics and the videos and respond tomorrow. Got hit with a brutal neck tension migraine last night. Muscle relaxants make me tired and extremely snarky - my poor husband has the day off today but he's staying busy. probably a smart thing to do. So just skimming headlines tonight and will post more tomorrow. Keeping Linda in my thoughts and Butthead always.

rusty DOES look like an owl! love it - i think it's the hair in his ears. somehow he reminds me of the old Disney movies and the owl who was a professor . . . now i want to call him Professor Rusty!

it's peaceful Ann - come sit outside & have noshies with me sometime! wouldn't it be fun to have an FDMB meet-up? except, of course, that none of us can leave our cats! :lol:

The baby birds are adorable Laurie.

Julie your deck and yard are so pretty..all that beautiful green and flowers. The video of Punkin giving kisses and to Anya too is wonderful....how beautiful they both are.

OMG these cats are all gorgeous & quite fluffy!! Moonie has sleek Black & white fur!
We feed the birds for so many yrs, we claim them as dependents for our taxes :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:
Where we live by the shore is a migratory path, so we see all kinds of birds--Love them too! Ni Ni! :mrgreen:
