Happy Tuesday!!! Sending out condolences to Mara; we are so sad to hear that Mitzi crossed. Also sending healing and appy vines to all who need them and we hope Lucy continues to improve.
Stereo snuggles and purrs started my day with our two sweetie folds. We all got up to start the morning routine but when I was ready to T/F/S Gracie, I couldn't find her. Part of the morning routine on my part is opening all the doors and windows to get the cool morning breeze for as long as we can and I had opened the window from the guest bathroom out into the catio but I didn't open the catio door from the library. I figured she wouldn't venture all the way down the hall to the guest bathroom just to go out on the catio. Well, I was wrong because when I looked in the library, she was sitting on the catio with her little heart-shaped nose pressed to the glass and Tobey was in the library looking out with his nose almost pressed in the opposite spot of hers    Soul mates those two and they couldn't figure out why they were separated by glass.
Yup, yesterday was a bouncette and she had a perfect flat blue cycle last night. I mean F-L-A-T. I'm really questioning the Cowboy Cookout I bought. It's the new formula and she loves it. When i called Merrick right after they changed it, the as-feds they gave me, when put into Janet's calculator, indicated the % calories from carbs had gone from 5% for the original formula to 18% for the new one. However, it is not having any effect on her BG at all. None. Zip. I've got another call into Merrick, this time to the nutritionist, and I hope they can clear up the issue on the carbs. I was really hoping we could use it to help manage low numbers as she loves it.
This morning as I was opening all the doors and windows, when I opened the front door, much to my surprise, the younger of the two bobcats that use our property was standing on the sidewalk right outside the door. I stepped back quietly from the metal door (we have decorative metal doors outside the wood doors) and he actually walked up into the porch under the overhang about two feet from the door and was looking inside the house as if to say hey! looks cool in there! what's up?. Then he casually turned and went down the walkway that goes along the house under the overhang and hopped over the courtyard wall. Very nonchalant. No big deal. It was very cool. This is the same guy that walked along our back patio one afternoon, staring at us through the glass, and every few feet he'd look us in the eye, and spray some plants this is mine; and this, and this, too!   I'm sure the bigger bobcat, Dexter, was NOT impressed.
Still finishing up some work today while Mike is gone. And tomorrow....back to the office. Have a great day!
