Around here Tess pleads sleep deprivation when I get her up for tests. cat(2)_steam They definitely don't believe that beans need sleep!

+5.5 28 Ok I am getting so tired of him dipping to 20's I increase him .25 yesterday since he had stayed high I can see that was a mistake <sigh>...... feeding small amounts right now of mc/hc

I hope you fed a goodly portion of HC. Please re-test and post in 20 min. from your +5.5

Could you please update your subject line in your first post of the day with low numbers like these? It will get eyes on your condo.

+5.75 31 and yes I fed a good portion of hc Sienne this is giving me a breakdown 2x in one week

I don't think it was a mistake -- numbers were trending up.
Pancreas is sputtering, no? That's what it looks like to me. If the pancreas starts assisting, in an on and off way, it would be hard to predict when it is on.

Lisa, you only have a few doses left. He is safe right now, you are there and you are feeding the numbers.
Try and look ahead. This is the same path most of us dealt with -- low numbers at this stage.
Think of it as a fun ride -- it can be one.

P.S. LOL, don't know if you'll think this is funny but remember when we were talking about dry food, on the phone? And you said "you mean, starve my cat!" and I laughed cause you said it in that very adorable voice. I just pictured you with a response like that to me saying "think of it as a fun ride." :lol:

Lisa, remember to breathe. :-D I know those numbers are stressing you out, but maybe Do Lou's pancreas is healing. That is a wonderful thing. You are doing great.

Wondering where food was in the cycle. I'm thinking pancreas revved up after the food and onset was building simultaneously.

Ok D I will try to laugh now I just could not believe he went 20's again after raising him .25 last night and yes I sure remember me saying that I know this is part of it well I could do without the 20's drama

He was fed raw at shot time which was 6 and he had FF at about 8:30-9 he was acting hungry and I cannot remember the exact time it was about then I was getting ready to do lunch and his +6 when I did the +5.5 and saw the 28

What about if you just use real time here and then think about the ss later.
test at 1145am, 1150am, 1215pm, like that. you can add foods by each time too, and then it won't need to be remembered.
I just write it all down at the time and then figure it out later. I am always forgetting so I need to jot it all on a pad and then sort out everything later when all is calm again.

I agree 20s made me go :shock: too.
Remember where you are in the cycle, almost +6 not +2 where it would be a more serious situation.
Again, like the last time he went to the 20s, made me teary with happiness.

+6.25 42 and D you remember also when we talked I said I never wanted to see 40's :lol: and now its like oh thank god he is up to 42 :lol: of course I would prefer something like 60 anyhow what is plan of action for tonight you think??

Very exciting day Lisa, and in LL.
Max and I are missing all of the fun. :-D Oh how we remember that crazy ride. Max gave me a 28, I was panicking and he was walking around to take a LB break in between all of the testing. He was just so calm and normal.

Do Lou has coma a long way from those numbers and the dry food!!!

Sputtering pancreas! That's a good thing to have... I hope it sputters right into full action mode. Although I sympathize with the ride on the way there. You are doing great Lisa.

I think I see Do Lou in the second row in this photo... maybe? Tell him to get off now.

Ok D I wish I had stayed with my gut feeling now which was to stay with the 1U one more day but then in the bk of my mind I was also afraid of numbers getting out of hand :roll: we can powwow at 4 about tonight :-D

Hey, how is DL's behavior -- any noticeable change?
I remember Noisy looking up at me with those "what is your problem eyes?"
Noise pretty much acted the same 20s to 300s.

He acts about the same the only change that he does which he did this on monday also is he is very restless and acts very hungry and his meow is a bit different I think I am the only one that would notice this its slight but for the most part he acts like nothing is wrong and Mom why are you testing me every 15 min jeez didn't we just do this and no I am not hungry for more hc at this moment at least both times when he has done this its been on a empty stomach where he was hungry

I am starting to wonder about my instincts? anyway do we go bk to 1U you think? or .75 I am so lost right now with this sugar dance D I almost kept him with the 1U one more day since I had kept reading about RB lasting 3 days and so I thought maybe give it one more day since it had not been 3 days since his 20's on monday but then went ahead with the dosecrease last night and now he is going to bounce all over again vicious cycle this RB that I would like to get out of

Right now I am thinking 1u. He's going to bounce and like you said, could be for three days. After the bounce clears, reassess and then you can revisit the 0.75u idea. His pancreas might have another plan.

I remember when Noisy was headed down fast, I was reducing in smaller increments than 0.25u.
Noisy's last week on the juice. (back then we hadn't started using the 0.1u method for the last few days)

Funny you show me this I was studying your SS just last night :-D I thought the 1U also and see what happens over the next couple of days have to see what happens with his numbers after the bounce clears this sure is stressful :roll:

See 4/16/08 on N's SS -- that day was one of the happiest days in my life. All the stress that preceded that day flew out the window and never came back.

pmps 279 he is eating his dinner now and I think I am still in recovery from the 20's :lol: I have had non stop migraines this week not sure if its weather, Do Lou or the ongoing of coming off M which I am day 21 of that and still having symptoms of withdrawal so more then likely a little of all 3 ohmygod_smile

Man-o-man, what a day & what a ride. I can't imagine looking forward to this! Apparently it is part of the sugar ride & process one must go thru. You did a great job Lisa & you must be exhausted. Hope you can rest well.

+2.5 335 I think I can let him rest I do not see him dropping but will check him before bed guess you never know but do not expect it with the bounce going on ~O)
