Yesterday's condo

After a long night, it's the next day! Funny how that happens every single time! :lol:

So what you going to do this time China?? Another repeat of yesterday where you start high, come down all day and then go tight rope walking all night again?

Well now hear this!! Mama HAS to go to the pain clinic tomorrow, so NO FUNNY BUSINESS!!! (Hey, it's worth a try!)

After having to turn the heat on yesterday morning, it's supposed to be close to 90 today and the humidity is already awful! Have to run over to DM's and turn the A/C on or she'll just sit there and bake. Her electricity is included in her rent, but she's lived her whole life thinking that you put off turning the A/C on until you absolutely can't stand it anymore, and just can't get it into her head that she can keep her apartment as cool (or warm) as she wants to and it's not going to make any difference. Old habits die hard though!

The lady I hired to come clean the apartment once/week was there today and said she'd opened the windows because she was warm...Told her the next time, she should just go ahead and set the unit to cool/heat FOR her and not worry about it. DM just isn't understanding things as well as she should anymore.

China certainly took you for a ride last night. I'm glad you both survived. She looks like she's not bouncing (anti-jinx) today, which is really nice! I hope she stays somewhat level for you the rest of the day and lets you get some sleep tonight.

I totally understand about your DM and the A/C. Mine was the same way - I think they're of the same generation, or close to it. They were raised to not waste anything. The first thing we did when we went to visit my Mom in the summer was head to the thermostat and turn the A/C on! Of course, as she got older, she moved around less and the heat didn't bother her nearly as much as it does me. I hope your DM is doing well and happy in her new place.

Nice surf for China today. I hope she keeps surfing that way tonight and tomorrow so you won't have to worry about her.

Tricia, I know you're right...both my parents could stretch a dime to buy a dollar and I know it's because they grew up during the depression when they had to or they didn't eat. What drives me a little batty though is when it comes to buying stuff she see's at WalMart, or my son goes with a sad story, she'll spend (or hand over) money she really can't afford to be spending. The electric is already included in the rent, so it's not spending money she isn't already spending!

Thanks Carla! I just really hope she doesn't pull another stunt like she did last Thursday because I HAVE to go this time. I don't have another week "built in" just in case! If I have to, I'll either skip or shoot a BCS in the morning.

Now for you China...SLOW it down girl!! I don't mind if you go for a dip in the lagoon tonight, but please stay near the shore!!
