Good Morning L & L :coffee::coffee::coffee: Needing lots of coffee this morning. Hoping that this morning's number is accurate; it was one of those slow to move up the test strip samples and I didn't have the heart to poke him for the third time. The last few days it's been hard to get him to bleed. Lots of extra pokes.

Just checking in to see how Bubba is doing today. He's looking fine. Surf safe Bubba so mama can take your brother to the vets. Sending vetty vines for Forest.

Bubba is looking great.

Vetty vines for Forrest:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:(what did you decide with the vaccine in the end?? )
Forrest ears looked good so the topical drops were working. However, while taking his temp the tech found a dried up tapeworm segment yuck. So I will give him 2 Drontal tablets later today.

I went with the 1 year. I would prefer the 3 year but, they do not carry it and the med rep wouldn't let them just order 1. They were going to try to get the 3 year from another clinic. Then I started to think, he's 14-15 years old and do I need to give him a three year dose at this age? Not that I am planning on anything happening to him. I will have them get the 3 year when Bubba is due since he is much younger. I hate these vaccines.

keeping my mouth shut;)
Bubba looks great!

+7.75 - 47 Looks like another reducie for Bubba. This is the 6th cycle since the larger depot and I feel like if it was still talking I would have had some much lower numbers earlier. Tonight, we go to 1.25 unless there are other opinions.

Thanks Sandi. Glad he came and got me and was crying for food. I wouldn't have tested him for another 35 minutes. ;)
Shoes has never alerted me to being low like that. When he had the minor hypo in late Feb. that caused us to switch to Lantus, he did not do anything different. I just looked at him and decided that I should get a test before leaving for work and so thankful that I did. He was at 33 on the AT2 and dropped to 30 in 3 minutes, then I was able to get it back up to 59 in about 45 min.

Your spidey senses served you well that day!

Congrats on the reduction. :D You can probably change today's +4 to green on the SS. ;) He seems to love the lagoon.

Ick on the tape worms - I guess you get to be on worm patrol for the next little while. :stop::eek:

Well, I have 2 drontal tabs for the de-worming in Forrest food and he will not eat it. Maybe 1/4 of it. I tried florti-flora sprinkled on top, taste and then turned away. Young again! I put that on top and he ate those off and jump down from the cat buffet. I ground up the YA in my magic bullet and sprinkled it over and a taste and jump down. Guess I have to purchase two more and try something different. Early, I tried a pill pocket and he had the pill pocket and left the pill. :banghead:

I have done pill pockets coated in FD meat dust, or butter. Or rehydrate some FD meat cube and stuff it in there. Or you can make the equivalent of pill pockets with a combo of ground meat, pumpkin and olive oil. Is there some people fuds he really likes you could use? A cube of cheese if he can handle dairy and likes it. I try to make sure I give a couple of "blanks" before giving a loaded treat.

Congrats on the reducie... and good luck with Drontal. I take it that he's not a cat that you can pill? You should have just made the vet tech do it. ;)

I know! Next time that is what I do. For 103 bucks today and after a couple hundred last Thursday, I should utilize the tech.
