I'm very happy to report that Phoebe Squeak's blood work looked good.
In terms of her nail infection, it is not ringworm but there is still one fungal culture that's not back yet.
They did find a bacterial infection -- enteroccus -- which is sensitive to Clavamox (which she is currently taking) but the doctor is worried that may be a "red herring" and it may actually be an immune issue that will require steroids.
I know steroids are tricky in a diabetic kitty so I really hope we don't have to go down that road. We have another appointment next Thursday, so fingers & paws crossed that the Clavamox works some magic by then.
The week of paw soaks is finally over, and the word "soaked" applied more to me than to her paws by the time we were done each day, but we both did our best.
Hope everyone is well and has a safe weekend.
