Beach day for him. He skipped his +4 and +8 snacks 🫤

Weather-wise it was a sort of blah and cold. A local meteorologist said something about a high pressure in Greenland and an Arctic front keeping weather here cooler than normal. Next week is supposed to be a little warmer.

Civvie had her first meal of Vital Essentials freeze dried rabbit. I still have a bit of NV Raw Bites but I need those to get pills into Leroy. NV still makes Raw Bites but only in chicken and pollock now. Chicken is out and the pollock contains beef which Leroy can't eat  On the look for something to use now... Pill Pockets contain chicken.

So I'm not able to attend my friend's July wedding but do I still need to get her something from her registry?? There's some cat stuff listed there so I would most likely get one of those.

Answering yesterday's posts here. Sorry for delay, got my own cat issues at home.
Someone on IO said to get Leroy checked for Cushing's. @Wendy&Neko do you think the kidney issues are somehow related to Cushing's? I did read the sticky on high dose conditions and thin fragile skin is one symptom. Bgs aren't bad and 3 units isn't a high dose.
Vet doesn't think Leroy has Cushing's because bgs are pretty well regulated and the insulin dose is small.
Addressing the last part first, we've seen Cushing's kitties on 3 units before, also decently regulated. ECCID.

However, he doesn't have to me any of the signs that I'd look for in Cushings. It tends to have more liver than kidney issues. And a pot belly with thinning fur on the tummy are fairly common signs. Or another skin issues like black dots, etc. Fragile skin is later stage and I haven't seen it on the leg, though always possible. Could also be age related?

I don't think you have to get a gift if not going to the wedding, but a cat gift might be nice for the friendship.

Thanks @Wendy&Neko ! Leroy's tummy is pretty bald. I do have a pic but it's not great. I'll try to get a better picture tomorrow. No pot belly, though. Just the normal "spay sway". No black dots either, just a few scabs from the harpoons for fluids.
