I hope everyone has had a great week. We have been.... well, busy again! :woot: I just can't imagine not being on the go. :) It keeps us out of trouble, and makes for great times! I often think back on the weeks happenings, and wonder how in the world did we do all that! :woot: o_O:joyful: It was the same this past week. It has been a good week. The Other grandparents are n vacation, so I had the boys Monday thru Friday. They will be gone for three weeks, so it will be a tad bit on the busy side for another week, as we just finished week 2. The word BUSY does not adequately describe the intensity level :woot: But... it was FUN! :):joyful: We did tun into as slight bump mid-week. William was sick! :( As in pukus and temperature sick... :arghh: :( It is my DD, and my opinion, that it was all due to his 2 year molars starting to break through, and the lucky little man has all four coming in at once. I guess those nasty little buggers can cause all the symptoms he had. It did but a damper on some of our activities but we did get through it, he is much better now, and off we went! Life is indeed good. :)

It has been a week in the pool! :woot::joyful::) It has just become the norm for us, we go each week, and just never tire of it. It proves to be such fun for both boys, and their excitement with it all has not wavered. :):joyful::cool: Nicholas's swim classes, on Monday and Wednesday continue, and he is doing well with them. He has discovered that they actually are fun, and he can't wait to get started each lesson. AWESOME! :joyful::joyful::joyful: Outside of class he still is our little energizer fishie, loves swimming in the big pool, and will often forgo the beach area play for the 6 and unders. He'd rather be in deep water. ;) We were able to get back to his favorite pool, in Snohomish, this Friday. We both have missed being there, missed due to other obligations and the need for other pools. With the other DGP's being gone I have extra get Nicholas to school duty, but with that comes the opportunity to get William more time in the pool than normal as he goes when Nicholas is in school. He too just loves it, never tries of it, so off we go. Our Swim days this week were Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. WHOA.... that is alot of pool time. Crazy, but I am grateful to have the opportunity to be able to take them. GO NICHOLAS! GO WILLIAM!

William: look Out! here I come!

Nicholas: Gotcha!

We still do the Friday Night Burger Feast. Nicholas just loves that whole experience, so no way will be not continue the tradition. Quite the feast he has: Cheeseburgers with extra pickles, fried with ketchup ranch and tartar sauce, assorted berries, milkshakes, and chocolate cupcakes. After all the spent energy he is one hungry little boy. And yes, he does eat it all. :woot::)

The week was insanely busy.... five days of adventure after adventure, even with one sick little boy for a few days. We were at the Meadowdale Play Park, Bothell Landing Park, Mesika Trail by the pool, and one aborted trip to the Science Center when William decided pukus was in order.  On the sick days, while William as under the weather we used my back yard and the neighborhood as our playground. Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday found us playing ball, exploring of just gong for walks. Friday we were all glad, including William, that he felt better, and were able to take off for some adventures. We also spent some time on Monday, after Nicholas's swim time with my MIL Connie. That is always a highlight for the boys. I knew we would not be able to skip the Play park after visiting with their Grammie Connie. It is almost a given that we will go, as it is so close. Being able to be out Friday, once William felt good again, was such a treat. We picnicked along the side of the river, walked the trails, fed ducks, and just had a great time. I could write and write and write on all these places we go, but today I will let the photos speak for them selves. I am grateful that I am able to offer them such diversity in the things we do. Never ever a dull moment. LOL, no wonder I am tired come Saturday.... well DUH! It had indeed been a great week!

Nicholas: ONE COOL DUDE!

For my own personal time, I continue to hike the local trails here when I can. I still haven't made that mountain hike, but all in good time on that one. ;) Right no I am focusing on Eastern Washington, before it gets blazing hot over there... like 95-110 HOT. I also made a few treks to the old favorite Meadowdale last Saturday. I have moved my hike day to Sunday, while the other DGP's are on vacation. Weekend hiking can be trying, as the trails are alwyas so busy, but... figured it was my opportunity, so off we went. This past Sunday I went to Cowiche Canyon, near Yakima. and also hiked the Uplands Trails, just above the canyon. This is a great hike. I love this canyon! It is 7 miles RT, follows a creek most of the way, though some darn cool canyon walls, geologically. The drive to E WA was great too, a bit long at three hours, but views along the way were great. All in all, an excellent hiking day!

Normalcy in Three MusketeerVille! :cat::cat::cat: The kitties are doing well. There really isn't much new to write about. Elsa is still holding her own, Bug is still being my cute affectionate Mannie look alike. Lola is still... well, Lola. Still my wild and crazy girl. With the arrival of spring weather she has been in the "LET ME OUT!" mode.:eek::eek::eek: Three escapes last week. again! Three the week before! :arghh:  :stop: And another today. She is getting good: darts out that door faster than a speeding bullet. :arghh::eek::nailbiting:o_O Crazy cat. So.... we are back to thinking about how we can feasibly build something that will let her get out but still confine her to the yard. If only she would stay in her yard..... NOPE! Hooray for kitty treats, which she can resist. :) I continue to worry about Elsa. Weight is an issue, She had lost a little more... She seems to feel well however, is very active for her age (19 come 8/1), eats when she wants, just not much. so.... still thinking of taking her into the vet a bit earlier than her set appt got an annual come 8/1. Other than that, Normalcy in Three MusketeerVille! :cat:

I'm sorry William was sick this week. I hope he's completely over it now. It sounds like you were able to do a lot of fun things working around him being sick. That's great Nicholas is liking his swim class. I'm glad the kitties are doing well. I think Elsa's weight loss is just a sign of old age. Most of my older kitties that I've had lost weight. I'm glad you have been able to get some hiking in. You have such beautiful places to go.

Oh Michelle- I really needed that VENTI Quad Blueberry infused white mocha/mocha blend this morning! Sorry to hear about William, poor little guy, glad he's better and hope you don't catch it! That is wonderful that Nicholas is still enjoying the swim lessons! Beautiful pictures as always-- we love Cowiche Canyon --Isn't it getting a little toasty in Yakima? It's funny in Eastern Washington, one day it will be in the 30's and the next it could be in the 90's  Love that picture of Lola- so sweet and innocent when in reality, she is planning her next escape LOL! :joyful::joyful: Sending tons of vines for Elsa, eat your fuds litltle girl! :bighug: Have a great weekend Michelle!

Good Afternoon LL! :coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee: (YUM! I Love coffee!, morning or night...), and Happy Sunday!

LL! It's is I, Elsa, KBP!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! Coffee is on, Lola and Bug , founders of Paw Prints Pizza, are ready to go! Want pizza? it is MEGA GOOD! They are busy getting ready for.... uh.... I dunno! but there sure is a flurry of activity in the kitchen. It must be the full moon party coming up! so. well. anyways. :coffee::coffee::coffee: Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and triple shot espresso, beans from the heart of central Ethiopia. For my mocha fans: Venti Quad orange and vanilla mocha, laced with orange swirls, topped with chocolate whip, garnished with orange zest, slivered vanilla beans and chocolate swirls....... and orange drizzle! SWEET OH! No worries, a dollop of orange and vanilla and chocolate and caramel swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, and a chocolate caramel drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good!

I hope everyone has had a great weekend. I am sorry I have missed so many of you, and your condos. The weather here has been the best, sunny and warm and 68/70. Perfect. :woot: I've been busy hiking, local and far away. Time now to at least say HI EVERYONE! It was off to Eastern Washington again today to hike the Umtanum Creek Falls trail, a new hike for me, one I had hoped to do last week after wrapping up the main hike, but ran out of time. So... we went today. The hike is a very nice one. The trail runs parallel to the creek, until it reaches the Falls. Falls are actually rather nice. I did not scale the mountain canyon side to access the Falls basin. That was darn steep and Rock climbing was required. oh no..... not happening! :nailbiting: I decided instead to explore the southern canyon ridge. That was an awesome choice. Views for miles, tons of wildflowers, and bitterroot (!!!) and alot of solitude. What an awesome day on the trails. The hike itself is rather short: 1 mile to the Falls, a few more if one hikes the canyon ridge. I did about 4 miles today, climbed maybe 700 feet to the ridge. Since my main hike was a bit on the short side, and I had time, I decided to stop in at Gold Creek Pond, at Snoqualmie Pass, on the way home. I love this hike, as it is such a treat after being on the road for a while. The trail is short, but the views are endless. Absolutely gorgeous! Loop trail is about 1.8 miles. Short sweet and awesome,. What is nice too is that it is an ADA trail, so those with disabilities can enjoy some mountain splendor. What a great day!! :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

@carfurby Hi Carla! :):coffee: Sorry for the late response.... Me too on William, poor kid! but he is much better now, so all is well once again. We did well, yes, working around his not feeling well. Amazing sometimes what you can accomplish when so need to stay close to home. I am so happy that Nicholas is enjoying swim class. What a plus!!!! :woot::woot::woot::woot: I hope so on Elsa. I suppose I worry too much, but she is so skinny... well, other than that she is busy and active, so maybe all really is well. Just a skinny well. ;) THX too on the hiking. We re very fortunate here in Washington, such diverse landscapes and all so close. I cam grateful that I can still get out on these hikes, some awfully nice places out there to visit.

@Tiger and Ruth HI Ruth! :):coffee: LOL, but I love the thought of how good that mocha would taste. :) It was fun to try and come up with these things when Mannie was still with us and ran his barista business. :joyful: THX on William. by Friday he was feeling much better, and able to run and play like always. YAY! I am thrilled with Nicholas and swim class. YES! Such an ordeal to get him this far, ad now he has discovered that he really does like it. Silly kid!
YAY! You've been to Cowiche too! Very cool. I love that hike. I hope you have been able to go to the Uplands too. Check out today's hike - that was nice too. and yes on Yakina. Well it was 70/75 there today, so not too bad yet. In a month or so I suspect they will be HOT. One reason why I hike over there in April and May. much cooler! So true on those temp variations! Freezing in the morning, and an oven by the afternoon. THX on the kitties. Elsa ate well tonight, I will have to serve more of tonight selection! :joyful: and Lola? well.... Lola is Lola. Never ever a dull moment. o_O

Hi Michelle,
Sorry to be so late, but only just now got to see you pics and hear the news of last week. We're glad that William is feeling better and that no one else got whatever he had! The swimming lessons are going swimmingly, it seems. Terrific!

I'm so glad you got to see a new trail and the Umtanum Falls! And very glad you didn't decide to try rock climbing!!

Have a good week. Hugs to you and scritches to the kitties, and thanks for all your visits to Rusty. His appetite has picked up!

Ella & Rusty

@Ella & Rusty & Stu(GA) Morning Ella :coffee::coffee::coffee: no worries! Yupp, we are all finally well, William included. :joyful: Nicholas's swim lessons are going well, he has had his class "evaluation" and when this session is done next week, he will be prompted up to the next level. He's doing well, and still loves his swim class. YAY!!!! I so agree on that rock climbing... If I was still 20, then maybe, but no, no rock climbing for me. I am glad all is well with you, and Rusty. Down the hatch with the fuds Rusty!
