Hi all,
We have been AWOL again. We are doing well. Tink is surfing green this afternoon, 65, 67, 70 & 71 between +6 & +8. Her SS is NOT up to date. I keep a log book of her #s and it appears she is doing this often, as she goes really high (350-450) which is no doubt a bounce, then comes back down, then up she goes again. She is getting 5.5u BID.
Tawny has finally started hitting blue once in a great while but for the most part simply stays in the 230-270 range no matter what. I have been increasing her dose every 6-10 cycles depending on my work schedule, I don't like to increase on work days when I'm gone 12 hours at a time. She is getting a huge amount of insulin, up to 7.5u BID with yesterday's pm shot, which meant she had been on 7.25u for 7 cycles, however that did keep her in the high blues for so far 2-1/2 cycles. Unusual for her b/c she usually will hit mid to high blue within the first one or 2 cycles of a dose increase and then wham! right back up into the mid yellows & stays there. I have no idea what to do about this except to just keep plugging away. Her SS in NOT up to date either. She has dipped green once or twice.
My internet connection is just awful and I go down so often for so long so many times a day that most of the time I cannot stay on line long enough to update their SS's or do much posting. I have been fighting w/the Internet provider since the first part of February and the situation may finally be about to be resolved sometime next week. I cannot change providers b/c there are no other providers in my area, way out in the boonies on a satellite connection I am. They couldn't even find a service crew that will come out here, the one I've had for six years quit the company. I finally found one on my own b/c Wildblue was useless in this regard that is 2 hrs away that said they would come out here & do it, now all I have to do is get the new equipment and get it scheduled, which is supposed to finally get ordered & scheduled Monday and be installed by the end of the week.
I'm amazed I've stayed online long enough for this post!
