Hi Summer,

First, don't panic - she is in safe numbers - albeit lower than you are used to and comfortable with :-)
Secondly, thank you for the summary!

I was saying that when you edit a post (go back to a post and add to it), it's easy to miss when there are so many posts flying to and fro. I was therefore suggesting that, if you have something to add, you add a new post to the thread rather than edit a previous post. I didn't mean for you to start a new thread/condo! :-)

In any case, don't worry about these housekeeping issues now. Not important in the scheme of things.

Let's see where she is at +3!

You are doing great! Relax!

Sorry, I understand. Don't edit an existing post. Create a new one. Sorry about this extra post today. I would go back and delete the first post but am afraid I would delete it from this post too.

Can someone help me edit my spreadsheet? I added a column after the +11 and before the remarks. I'm trying to put another "date" column in there so when I print and share this information with my vet he will have the dates for the remarks to match with the dates for the numbers since it takes two pages to print both the numbers and the remarks. I tried to put the date in and the background came out black. Computer is assuming that my 5/19/21 is a "high" number.

I see the new column. Do you mean that you need to be able to type in a date in that column and your computer won't let you?

I can help you. Will need edit access to the SS. Do you know how to grant someone editor access?

She can type the date, but the SS is formatting that as a BG number (cell colour etc)

It lets me type in the date but it comes out with a black background like I have hit a "high" with my glucose. Just trying to clear the format so I can enter dates in there and they won't all come out with a black background. I want the format for the numbers to read "date" with a white background and black letters.

I have "shared" my spreadsheet with Marje but I had her regular email. Do I just put Bandit's Mom in or do I need a special email address to use to share with you?

Go to the very top of the column where it has the letters for the column, e.g. AE or whatever the letters are that label that column. Click there and the whole column should be highlighted. Then click Format up on the top menu. Another little menu will drop down from there. Click on Number (just under the word Theme) from that little menu. It will give you options as to what kind of numbers (including dates) that you can enter in that column. Okay?

Oh, that's probably under "conditional formatting" You can change the way colors appear there. It's obviously following a "formula." Just let them change it for you. I gotta run get ready to take Darcy to the vet and feed other cats. Hugs. You're doing great.

I can finally breathe. She is 92 @3.5. I wasn't going to fed her again but she smelled the food I brought in and snubbed the treat. I figured she deserved it so she got 1 Tbls. l/c. Do you think I can hold off a full hour now to test again? Thank you again for all your help, Bhooma.

Prayers for Darcy. I'm glad he is going back to the vet. Maybe they will do some IV fluids and have some solutions for you. Thank you for being around for support, Suzanne.

Yup. She is more than safe. You can wait 2 hours to test. Give her a break!

Beautiful cycle!
Thanks, Elise. Another nail bitter.

Nice job today. Glad Bhooma was able to help again. :bighug::bighug:
Me too, Carla. This morning was worse than the 15th. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever expect to wake up and get a 70 at AMPS especially after how high she was yesterday. I should have tested at least at +2 last night. I just really thought she would remain high all night and this morning. This has been a real "eye opening" week for me.

262 at +10. Now I am really getting frustrated. She is either too low or too high. This back and forth is driving me crazy. Should I consider a switch to another insulin like Levemir? I can't seem to find a balance and everyone tells me to be patient but it is getting harder and harder. Why is this happening? I will get good (too good) numbers only to sky rocket up - then to unexpectedly go rapidly down. Please, someone tell me what I am doing wrong?

Completely normal. Shes bouncing from her great numbers today. That doesn't mean you can relax though. Do your usual thing before bed, some breaks bounces faster, some like to take their time.
Don't give up on lantus yet. But patience is the keyword. I used to hate it too :p
Then the magic happened!

Thanks, Pamela. Very frustrating this "Sugar Dance". I wonder how Susie actually feels when she is sky high and then super low. She seemed to not feel very good tonight. What are these extremes really doing to our kitties?

I hope the magic happens soon. As I said to Pamela, I worry about these extreme fluctuations and what they are doing to Susie. She seemed really good this morning. Not so much tonight.

I'm tired. A stressful day. I'll get a +2 and then set my alarm for +5. I just pray she doesn't go low, again, like she did late last night. If her +2 shows she is dropping I guess I'll have to get a +9 as well. My perfect night is being in bed by 7:30 (+1.5).

Great job Summer, Susie had a very nice cycle today :bighug:

Her bouncing after seeing greens is absolutely normal, take a look at Chico’s spreadsheet before he got in more consistent numbers. They go lower than they are used to and then they bounce until they go again in lower values and so on until they get used to lower values and stay there more consistently. Patience now is the key word, you are finally getting some of the progress you were looking for:bighug::bighug:

Thanks, Marina. Patience - I guess that is what I need right now.

Great job, team Susie.:bighug: I know you don't want her numbers that low but it's good that you're learning how to handle them. These kitties can really catch us off guard sometimes.
I hope you get a good sleep tonight.
