Yesterday and a visit with Mariko, Lucy and Ginger plus Neko had a couple good cycles.

We finally got the promised rain last night, but it didn't stop Neko from sleeping in the solarium overnight. Guess who was out there with a flashlight at 4:30 in the morning getting that +9 test. :lol: At least it's starting to get light then.

Today is the expected bounce. Neko does a third kind of bounce - can't handle too many good cycles in a row. ohmygod_smile Oh well, she's cooling off in the solarium again. Rain is done. We've seen the 4 P's - she tends to play with her toys late afternoon before dinner.

I hope the bounce is a quick one. :lol: on testing at 4:30 with the flashlight. I wonder if any of your neighbors were awake? I'm glad you had a good visit with Mariko yesterday.

Happy Victoria Day! I don't think bouncing is allowed to celebrate QV's birthday.

Thank goodness Neko is not wearing the dominant Canadian color. :cool:

And down she comes. How far, nobody knows. :lol: The sun has come out. It's very pleasant in the solarium with the laptop and kitties.

@Carla - Neko's usual short protest of too much blue/green. :roll: I didn't look for neighbours this morning. :lol:

@Linda - Neko's nadir is usually +9-+12 and if she's flat after PMPS then there's a chance of some action later in the cycle. Four days a week I'm up at 4:30 for rowing so the body is kind of used to it.

@Anne - First time in three Victoria Day's on insulin that Neko hasn't worn THAT colour. :lol:

Yep, looks like she is clearing that bounce...way to go, Neko - but don't take it too low!!!

Happy Victoria Day to you! Did you do a special paddle to celebrate? There was 1 Canadian car in the parking area for Weller Pond, but it was from Quebec. I'm not sure that they celebrate Victoria Day there?

Neko, nice job staying away from "that" colour!

I love the 4:30 AM test with a flashlight! :lol: There are times I test in the AM when I get set up with cat in lap, and a poke, and realize it's too dark to see the drop of blood. I am however, getting better at seeing in the dark to test!

I also hear you on the "third kind of bounce." :lol: Sometimes you get a bounce and look back and don't see anything "bounce-worthy" and have to just conclude it's Mr. Liver reminding everyone that he's still paying attention. :-D

When Neko goes up that much early in the cycle, her nadir is usually later. She's found her 5th P. :-D I just heard hissing from Nanner Central - nanner play is NOT a team sport in our house. :lol:

@Amy - Not sure if she's done dropping yet, she likes to surprise.

@Ella - Back to basic blue. No paddle today. We could have, but we let the coach have a break. He worked both days last weekend, 12 days straight, due to a regatta so we gave him a weekend. For safety we always have a coach along. Victoria Day is a national holiday but they've renamed it Patriots Day in Quebec.

@Jen - Solarium is "outside" so darkish at 4:30 and doesn't have good lighting. Neko's almost always gone higher after two good cycles, even if she doesn't go significantly low. :roll:
