Jacqui here again, Dave's had a pretty uneventful and good week, and I'm here to see where I should go from here.
Firstly, I managed to get some syringes that match an insulin ruler. I've been really struggling to keep his 0.75u consistent, and so swapping over should help me be more accurate. The thing that's worrying me is that if my dosing's been way off with the original needles (which it almost definitely is) he'll get a big increase/decrease that he doesn't need. Any advice?
Secondly, he's had a strange day that's got me wondering. At +2 he was lower than his AMPS, then higher at +4, then slightly lower again by +6. After eating at +6 he normally spikes massively, but today he barely moved. Is it possible that his nadir is changing? Or could it be that he's found some food somewhere - maybe a mouse - and eating this caused the weird rise at +4? Someone who doesn't normally look after him did it today, and I'm wondering if there could be something different that caused this. Or am I worrying too much?
Behavior-wise, he's as ravenous as ever, but he seems to have mellowed out with the other cats a bit. I'm really happy with his greens, too.
