Woot! We saw some blue last night. And a nice yellow AMPS instead of our recent pink ones. I held the dose this morning - after last night's blues. He did drop from that +2 pretty quickly but then leveled off for the +6.5 that I woke up for.

If anyone with kids has any sleep advice, I am open to receiving! I've found mine and Matt's parents either done remember; don't want to share or have blocked the memory. It took me 3 hours to get Matty to sleep last night. He didn't cry unless I put him in his crib. But he was not having bedtime.

I hope Cobb can work this morning's insulin and come surf some blue numbers today. Marje, I wish he would see these low numbers during the day. Looks like he took his cues from Wendy's Neko. These cats either need to stop conspiring or, at least, let us know what they're going to do so we can be prepared.

Happy Monday to all! Healing vines to all the kitties who need them. Have a great week everyone.

I'm so glad to hear that he's starting to give you blue #s. This is a step in the right direction!!! I hope that he gives you a lovely surf today. Have a great day! :-D

Good job going after the bounce with the R. When I saw that drop last night I figured he might be a bit springy today. Lot of that going around here. Those delayed bounces are so annoying.

Sorry about the bad influence on the bouncy days and lower nights. Really have to stop them texting each other.  Maybe he'll get the message about blue later in the day.

Re: 5/19 Cobb AMPS 260(2uR) +11.25 306 Preshot Question

So I have given Cobb two doses of R today. If I increase tonight, would you skip the R? He dipped under 300 briefly but is headed back up.

Re: 5/19 Cobb AMPS 260(2uR) +11.25 306 Preshot Question

I think these numbers today are a bounce from last night, so i would think it's safe to give him R again with his shot tonight. Assuming the usual "are you prepared for low numbers if needed?" Looks to me like the R is worn off by the +11 already.

Re: 5/19 Cobb PMPS 264(1.75uR)

Thanks Julie! I am prepared for just about anything.

I gave a sliver less than the 2u of R that I would have given at 264, just because it looks like a drop. I noted it as 1.75uR in the SS. I don't want to give too much if he is actually dropping. Doubtful, but you never know. I do hope we're about to stumble onto a dose we can hold for awhile. I don't need him to earn any reductions...just stop climbing!!

Bad day. I'm frustrated. I'm irritated. And I'm tired. Not a great combination.

and i'm sending you a hug. :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

i have Matty ideas too - but ya might not like them! ;-) i let my kids cry. with jason, he was afraid of being alone. i would sit outside his room (door open) and talk or sing to him. as long as he knew he wasn't alone, he would settle back down. if he started to cry, i'd just say "mama's here." and he'd lay back down.

with my first, i actually went out on the porch to endure her crying. At first i'd go in after 5 minutes, then stretched it out to 10, 15, etc. and she stopped crying at bedtime within a week.

some people can't take it, and it was hard. goes against every maternal instinct to listen to your baby cry and not respond.

it also helped to run a fan in jason's room. have you tried a radio?

Re: 5/19 Cobb PMPS 264(1.75uR)

We haven't gotten to the have to let him cry yet. I know it's coming. I just want him to be able to understand a little bit better. He gets incredibly worked up...gasping, coughing and choking after about 5 minutes. It's hard to listen to. We do have a fan, and a white noise app that plays while he's in his room. It settles him but only if he's being rocked. Go figure...I have a high maintenance cat and a high maintenance baby. I'm sure I'm not the reason.

Re: 5/19 Cobb PMPS 264(1.75uR)

no, you're not the reason! but ya made me laugh! kids come with personalities and some are just high maintenance. Cobb being high maintenance is just a coincidence! ;-) :-D
