Ah, the best laid plans... Totally slept through alarm clock for +2/4. Awesome. At least I still have time to shower, get ready for work, and get the +6 before I fly out the door...

Gave the next portion of her meal at +5 when I tested, as she didn't eat while I slept. Cuddled instead. That should make me happy, but instead I feel guilty.

I love it when they come in a few points under another color. Hope she slurped up the snackus as soon as you left for work.

Good to see someone else from 'The Valley' on the board. Hoping Vesta comes out to visit at the falls soon!

Yay Valley girls! I hope she visits the Falls soon too! She's all over the place and I get disheartened sometimes, but then she has nights and days like the last 24hrs and I'm hopeful again.

I tested at +6 right before I walked out the door and scored a 68. Still dropping a little, but with the teaspoon of gravy and next snackus maximus I left for her I figured she'd be ok. She was happily slurping the snackus as I was flying out the door.

DH just got home at did a +10.5, and he got a 94. He said their food bowls were pretty full, so I guess Vesta stopped eating the minute I walked out the door. Again, flattering Vesta, but feel free to eat in private too!

We're an hour and a half away from shot time... Anyone have advice on what we should shoot? Obviously it depends on the PMPS, but do you have some rules of thumb to go by? And yes, someone will be there and able to test every hour through at least +6 (if necessary).

There really isn't a rule of thumb. Can you test at +11.5 or +11.75 so we have a little time to get input if numbers are still a little low?

+11.5 was 90. Normal shot time in 25 minutes.

We have plenty of strips and time to check if you guys want us to just go for it...

I would shoot at +12, unless the number drops dramatically from here or something. When you shot the full dose on that 122, the cycle was beautiful and the bounce wasn't bad. I love green preshots, they mean great progress has been made. :smile:

We did it... no BCS for us! Her PMPS was 89. Scary for us to shoot on- but a little exhilarating too. We've got plenty of MC and HC on hand to flatten her curve if she gets too low. Thanks for the advise, Libby.

And to think, last night I was advocating a dose increase...

It usually takes the mention of a dosecrease to get good numbers. :mrgreen:
Vesta had a really nice day today.
