Good Morning LL!! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (Thank you Elsa! DGS recovery fuel is primo today),and Happy Caturday!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista! HEY! GUESS WHAT! I found Mannie's espresso recipe book! I dunno how that happened. I was sleeping and woke up and there is was, right next to my kitty pillow.... How mega cool is that! I secretly thinks Mannie had something to do with it. Guess my barista efforts meet with his approval. :-D SO, in honor of this very special find, here's one from the Manster.... Triple shot espressos, with beans from deep within the interior of Panama, AND.... for all his Mocha fans: a Venti quad blackberry infused white mocha, with apple cimmamum whip, garnished with caramelized apple clusters, white chocolate shavings, a dusting of cimmamum and blackberry drizzle. ah Mannie, nobody made them like you.... uh.... ok that I add a dollop of blackberry ice cream???? no worries beans, I still got the 10 hour energy! Piping hot and ready for delviery! ~~ Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista

Yesterday was pool day for Nicholas. The energizer FISH was hard at it again. There is just no rest for us old folks.  We spent alot of time tray in the bigger pool - kick boards were the toy of choice yesterday. It was fun to watch him figure out how to use them, and then make his way back and forth across the pool. I had to laugh the first time he flipped over, thinking he'd lost his grip. NOPE! He did it on purpose do he could roll in the water.  Silly boy. That was fun - he just kept doing it over and over. When we were leaving they had just opened the tube slides, whatever those things are called. he's decided he needs to do that, so we ended up staying a little longer so he could watch the kids come down, shoot out the bottom. omg.... all fun. We walked the trail outside of the pool after his lunch, and had a great time exploring the very small creek there. They ave a few old 4' high stumps that he had a blast jumping off of. Bear went with him, too.  All in all, a great morning. He's sound asleep - napping at the moment.... breather time for grammie! Here is the link for the Picassa photos and videos. They are a bit repetitive, very similar to Wednesday... anyways: the link: Swimming is hard work...., On the trail again, and Swimming.

Have a great Caturday everyone! It will be catch up day here: shopping and errands, and cleaning and bill paying... all that fun stuff! I also really really really want to get to the shelter today. There are two on their online listings that really have caught my eye... so I hope we can get there and meet them, see if they will adopt us or not. I also received an email from a friend who works with a terminally ill lady who is looking for a home for her two cats. They are 5, a brother and sister, and look so much like BJ. So we may also look into that too. Woo HOO!

Kitties! Remember.... THINK BLUE! THINK GREEN!

That's funny with the kickboard. Nicholas sure does find neat ways to play in the water. I hope you get to the shelter today and can follow-up on the other 2 kitties too.

Hi Michelle,

What a cute story about the fish rolling over in the water, it's so great that he loves the water and starting so young. You guys will have such wonderful memories. I hope you get to the shelter today, or to check out the brother and sister kitties... They would be so lucky to have you adopt them.

Have a great catch up day,

Kathie

I've said it before: Nicholas is just totally amazing in the water!!

I hope all went well today with the chore catch up, and kitteh visiting. How sweet of Mannie to share his recipes with Elsa. Gosh, he is watching over all of us - such a sweet guy!!!

Re: 5/18 LOOSE LIPS: The energizer FISH... and... NEW FURKI

Happy Caturday night everyone!

Well............. WE HAVE NEW FURKIDS!!!! :-D :-D :-D :-D We made it to the shelter this afternoon and adopted two furry purrys: Lola and Bug. I have no idea why he is called BUG, but that's his name, and I am inclined to keep it. ;-) He's a five year old male, and quite the affectionate cat. We do know he has a heart murmur, and will have that evaluated when it needs to be done. Lola is a 1 year old female, listed a a long haired domestic and tortie mix. She is quite the feisty thing. They seem to get along rally well. so hopefully the integration process won't be a big deal. SO far we have had no hostilities, and they have been allowed to roam the house. Lola seems a little nervous, so we may isolate her for a while until she settles more. She's not quite 1 yet. so alot of this is related to her being a kitten too. Elsa is tolerating the "intrusion" well. She doesn't seem to mind Bug, but she does hiss some at Lola. Must be that female vs female thing. I dunno.... time will work it's magic and all will be well, as she has lived with other females before with no issues.

Anyways I took a couple of photos, an will try and get some better ones. They don't see to want to sit still....  we took to them both right off, and they to us, one of those tings where they jumped into our laps when we met them. Yupp! Meant for us.

HI Cathy - Yes, the time with Nicholas are great, we really do have fun! and.... we have to new furkids! Going to be crazy here for a while until they settle in. :-D :-D
Auntie Cathy - THX! Darn good, huh! I can bring more! ~~Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista

HI Liz - LOL on Elsa. The girl does try! I know on nicholas... I am beat by the time he goes home. THX on the new ones!

Hi Carla - I thought so too on the kick board - it made me laugh. He really does some up with good ways to play, and learn at the same time. YUPP! got to th shleter and have 2 new fuirkids. I will also follow through with the lady with the other two kitties.

Hi Kathie - I think so too on Nicholas. He just loves it, and I am so glad we started him as young as we did. Thanks on the kitties - we did bring home two, and it seems to be a good fit so far. Lola is bit antsy, but I think that will pass as she settles more.

HI Amy - oh yes, that Nicholas is. Yupp, I think mannie is too, watching over all of us. I miss him. We did get Elsa some new playmates today. so far all is going well.

Michelle, thanks for the early visit this morning. Turns out I needed a ton of Elsa's coffee. Tess decided to dive :o
Congrats on the new fur pals. Keep us informed.

Is Nicholas practicing Eskimo rolls for a future kayak?

John

Omigosh, Bug is on the bed already!!
They are beautiful! I'm so happy for you....and Nicholas, Michelle cat_pet_icon

Hang on, Elsa, they will grow on you and make great friends.

Hey Michelle,
Congrats on the new furkids! They look great. From the pics, both look like they are big kitties. Are they?

Elsa, Now you'll have some help in the coffee shop. I'm sure you'll enjoy having some pals around.

Sorry to be so late. I faded and just woke up (and now it's almost midnight and time to go to bed). See you tomorrow,

Hugs to you and scritches to the 3 furry kids,

Ella & Rusty

HI ALL! THX for the visit. So far hings are going well. Elsa's nose it a little out of joint, but I know in time she will come around. Bug and Lola get along great - They have only been here a few hours and already they play together. YES!!! Going well!

HI Ella - thye ar both about 9 pounds. They say Lola will be much bigger, I dunno. Bug is strongly built, very solid, but on the smaller side. THX for all - I hope your paddle was good. Elsa is unsure on their abilities, but I think she will whip the into line.

Hi Barb - THX, and I agree - they re very pretty cats, each with a distinct personality. best part - they liked us enough to let us take them home. I know on BUG and the bed. HAHA! and Elsa? oh my.... she thinks she has been invaded.

Hi Ann, and John - LOL on Nicholas - that is exactly what it looked like! kayak rolls - knew there was a term for it, couldn't think of it! That is it!! THX on the furkids, and will do!
UNCLE JOHN! TESS did what??? Mannie told me she likes to do that ad I had bets be sure to visit you guys first! So glad I listened to him. You looked so sleepy.... ~~ Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista

Hi Wendy - it is just that - AWESOME. They are really great cats. I'm so relieved that they like it here. Now if Elsa will just agree... ;-) They have adapted well, and only after a few hours. YAY! Jury is out on Elsa, but she will come around I am sure. Oh yes on Nicholas. He's seen photos already and thinks they are "Good" and that Bug "looks like Mannie!" that got a smile I hear. way cool!

Hi AMy - THX! I agree! :-D :-D :-D
