Good luck with the reducie Julie! Which needles are you using that are causing you so much grief? I've been using BD Ultra-fine II since the beginning and maybe I've had 3 or so that didn't work right. The problems were that they were sticking when I was trying to twist up to get rid of a couple of drops to get the right dose. But all in all I'm really happy with them. In Canada they're sold in all the pharmacy's and Walmart.

I hope the rest of your day goes much better! :bighug:

I use Monoject, I get about 15% of every box that the needle is at enough of an angle I don’t feel comfortable using and have to toss. No problems with plunger sticking, although this morning on first insulin I overshot .25, but that was my fault. I always start with 2 units, have to for any size dose to have a shot at getting bubbles out and I push out a little and turn rest of way to get fine dose, I just pushed too much and went past .25 the first time.

I use monoject and have no problems with them. I had 1 needle last year that didn't have an opening. Strange I know. I couldn't figure out why insulin wasn't being pulled up. I even tried colored water and still syringe wouldn't fill. Answer no joke in needle.

I also find I have less bubbles if insulin is room temp vs drawing it up straight out of fridge. And if I hold needle and pen straight up when drawing.

I’ve had a couple too that drew nothing, I knew nothing was in there because only time no bubble.

Could try leaving pen out for a little bit, I usually draw it cold then let syringe sit for 10 minutes to warm up in syringe.
