Yippee, my new favorite color; yellow:thumbup

Checks' amps may be affected a bit by +11 snack. I'm still working on that. I'd love to just slowly change his shot time, but fear I won't want to keep up with rising at 6am instead of 7.
He's eaten his breffis over the last couple hours, so +2 may be food too. Oh gees, I'm so undisciplined.

Checks is trying to get his morning nap on the couch, and 3 yo Clancy, keeps jumping straight up on top of him, and the fight begins anew.
One big ball of rolling grey fur, yowls and growls and chirps, and trills. Oy...not morning fun for the bean.

Clancy is so funny. When he dips his little rear, and it starts to wiggle, I know Checks is in for it.
I worry that Clancy is going to lose his other eye. Checks is good with those bunny kicks. So far, they haven't tried to hurt one another.....so far.

Good morning, Barb,
It sounds like Checks and Clancy are just horsing around, but the youngster may be annoying the oldster! Your new time framework might take some time to get used to. But it is much easier to start this sort of thing in the summer. Just wait until it's dark at 6 A.M.!! (we do the 6:15 thing, and that extra 15 minutes really helps).

Enjoy your day and have a good weekend,

Ella & Rusty

I don't understand this.
To make it more confusing, I don't understand levemir at all. I never know which cycle's numbers I'm looking at.
I fattened his .75 this morning. I know how many drops from the 1unit line is my .75, and I let out one less drop.
But that may not even show up until tomorrow's numbers, for all I know, with lev.

I was gone for a few hours....he got no contraband. I expected to come home to a nice blue, not nasty pink again.

Cats do play hard, baby with an elder, always a challenge! But they are funny to watch--
I never could use lev., as lantus I understand but the hours involved could not work for me..
Moonie is pretty regulated, and I wont rock the boat--Hope Checks will come down next cycle & be gracious with you & the hours of operation    Hugs & love from us!

Barb....I'm leaning towards this still being a bounce off that 192. Do you mind adding onto your SS under the "U" for AMPS that you fattened his dose when you have time, please?

It's hard to know if his numbers are attributable solely to bouncing or pain. That makes it difficult to dose him. Is the amount of bupe you are giving him resulting in less pain...can you tell? If it's not, what do you think
about talking to your vet about giving a little more? Maybe that will help overall.

I'm sorry if you have discussed the above on your condo and I've missed it. I do think I remember a few days back that you were giving him a pretty low dose but also that he got quite playful. And if he's bunny kicking
Clancy, you'd think he wouldn't be in pain....but you know cats!!

No real advice, just hugs. :YMHUG: :YMHUG: My only thoughts are with Marje or a late nadir and then you see the rise start at +4 or +5. The pain issues do complicate things. But if he is playing like that he must be feeling better.

Checkers' pain is sporadic. He needs pain meds about once a week or less often.
This streak of yellow and pink is not due to pain. He was uncomfortable yesterday..bupe took care of that.

His pain relief is quick with bupe. He sleeps for half an hour, then is back to activity, and wants to eat.

He's in no pain today. In fact, he always seems more active on higher numbers. I wish he'd excersise off that excess sugar.

Did he lose momentum, when I reduced from .75 to .5, back on 5/9?
Next time I won't be so quick to reduce, when he dips into the 40's. I'll manage it with food.

I'm sure you'll develop an understanding of how lev works in Checkers over time, it's just like starting all over again and no doubt you were pretty confused about lantus when you started on that too and I'm sure that on either you still have those what the... moments when they are just being cats :?

Way cute on the Checkers/Clancy action

Re: 5/18 Checkers pmps 385

How in the world does one know the nadir, when the cat is flat all day?
I'd try to get up and test, around his PM nadir, if I knew when it is.
How do I know he isn't dropping at night, and I'm missing it, and he is bouncing every day?

Yeah right....dream on, Barbie.
