Yesterday

I can say the usual happy appy, snuggly, spunky, feisty, and skeptical anti-jinxes. Trix seemed to be feeling pretty awesome last evening as well as this morning.. Don't know why she has the blah moments - they don't seem to last very long, so maybe I'm just being too much of a helicopter and reading too much into it. I don't know. The stresses of the last several months certainly have worn me thin and I don't always trust my eyes or judgement anymore...

Yesterday was a high-anxiety day with getting stuff done at my Mom's, so that didn't help. It's hard to explain (without writing a novel), but it's a combination of many things that make what should be a simple task into something that causes me to want to rip my hair out....

But it is what it is. Hoping for a calmer day today. Prayers to all, with extras for Wendy and Ron as they mourn the passing of sweet Theo.....

I think our kitties have days where they don't feel as well just like people do. I hope today is a good day for Trixie and a calmer day for you. Sending prayers.

So glad that Trixie is doing better. Sorry about the added stress with your Mom. It is very hard to balance everything that you are balancing . Sending calm vines.

Yes, Carla has reminded me that cats can have their "off" days too. I think we are so tuned in to their nuances from this incredibly intense care-taking that we notice everything and wonder if it presages some awful turn for the worse -or at least I find that happens to me. I've been thinking about this a lot. I find it very hard to live in the moment and not project into the future. I must say, we come by it honestly though
I'm happy to hear that Trixie is feeling mighty fine this morning, nice to get a break from kitty worry!!!
I think I can relate to your stress regarding helping your Mom yesterday. I've been there too. One time I almost had a complete and total meltdown after trying to help out just changing some light bulbs for her. So many intense things can lead up to the swirl of emotions that seem so out of scale for the tasks at hand.
