Good morning everyone! Today is a beach day - as soon as we can get up and get going we're going for a nice walk on the beach. It's 80 degrees so its plenty warm enough to go for a quiet visit to the beach. Today the beaches are on 'exercise only' restrictions and close at 11 a.m. to prevent large crowds from gathering and people congregating on the beaches - no chairs, towels, etc. allowed. They'll open again at 5 to allow for walkers, runners, swimming, etc. but not groups hanging out. Weekdays they're open all day. That scene last weekend wasn't good and hopefully this approach will help.

Luci decided yesterday to go on a shark chase while I was at lunch...let's hope she doesn't do the same while we're at the beach this morning...silly girl!

I'm still thinking we all will need to learn how to cope with this new normal. This thing isn't going away any time soon...so we have to figure out strategies to cope with staying safe and keeping our distance from others. I appreciate seeing the efforts they're going to in the stores (cleaning the carts, door handles, wearing masks)...and the restaurants are checking patron's temperatures, cleaning tables and not leaving condiments on the tables - removing them for cleaning if they're brought to the table at all. We ate sushi yesterday and they only brought things to the table that we needed in small portions - soy sauce in a little dish; chopsticks, etc. The previous set up is all gone. So at least I feel comfortable eating out - which I enjoy so much anyway!

I hope things will open up soon in your states/provinces and they'll do it safely.

Hope you'll all have a great day and that your kitties will surf safely!

Hi Sue,
I appreciate the update of how you’re managing Covid in Naples!as it it could be an example of how we manage it in New York once the lockdown is lifted (if ever)! We’re still doing home delivery and the occasional 7am run to the grocery store.

I'm glad things are starting to get back to a new normal in Fl.
Where I live, some of the general public is getting very lackadaisical. And still hoarding food. I had to go to 3 grocery store to find ANY meat.
