Last night was another interesting night. What happens to someone when they only get a couple hours sleep for two nights in a row? If you don't know the answer to that, I'll get back to you later today. We just might have an interesting day today as well since we're starting the day at a 251 which is unheard of in Champerville.

Goodness, but I am exhausted and I have a very full day of work today. I know I won't be visiting any condo's until later today so please know I'm thinking about each and every one of you, my peeps!! :lol:

Marje, I'm sending lots of prayers and healing vines your way. You had a really crappy day yesterday and I hate it when that happens to a really wonderful person such as you!!

My brain is completely fogged up so I don't remember what else is happening in LL right now. Hopefully, maybe, I can sneak a nap in some time today.

I hope you get through the day OK today, Patty. Yes, I think we're all familiar and can sympathize with lack of sleep around here, but those gorgeous numbers make it all worthwhile!

i read your condo from last night - you poor tired bean! sending you energy vibes to cope with your day!

champ is sure doing well - i think you're smart to cut out the +6 feeding and see what happens. punkin's numbers improved when i moved the +6 to +3 instead. i could see a clear nadir most of the time. i also make the poke treats really small - and punkin's a big boy too - 14+ pounds.

the vet is supposed to get back to me today about testing punkin for acro. might as well know if that's what we're dealing with or not.

hope you can manage today and sleep tonight.

Looks like you had another busy night Patty. It will be worth it! Champ is looking good thanks to all your hard work.

Not sure why the +2 is higher, but I'm pretty sure I've seen this on other's kitties SS's. Is this due to overlap? I'll check him again at +4 and see where he's headed. I actually have time to lie down for about 40 minutes before I have to start on my next account (gotta meet the deadlines!). Short naps like that usually work pretty well for me!! :-D

Good morning guys .. another busy night for you I see .. and yes, we are all familiar with the lack of sleep this dance requires! Could this +2 be a food spike perhaps from breakfast? Hopefully champ comes down for you and you get a power nap or two in today .. have a great day guys!

I'd guess that +2 is a food spike, too. Trixie does that at times as well, then she turns it around.

Nice job again last night.. Wow pretty blues 2 nights in a row.. Nice for Champ, not so nice for the sleep factor.. I hear you there.. I sure hope you get to rest some today. That +2 is probably a food spike..
Here's to hoping he comes down for you again today and that you get to I-) I-) if even for just a bit..

Believe me we all know about sleep deprivation. See if you can get a nap in after the evening shot. Champ doesn't seem to get going till later, an hour or two nap then can really help!

Champ doesn't typically get a food spike, his numbers just usually don't decrease very much after his main meal. I've never seen his BG rise without ever having gone down, though. And seeing his +4 kinda confirms my suspicions. I do believe the dreaded bounce has commenced. ohmygod_smile I hope it clears quickly!!

you know, what I've almost always found humorous is that while the beans suffer from lack of sleep and tension at the numbers...
the cats catnap like there's no tomorrow!

Yup, we all stress about those unusual numbers, but there's not much to do about them (this is a lesson I'm still working on, too). So get some sleep while you can and remember that things can turn around very quickly!!!

Poor Champers...I made him go without food from +6 until PMPS. But his BG is lower at PMPS than it was at the +8 so it was worth it whether he thinks so or not!!! Here's hoping for a night of low yellows, maybe even some high blues. Oh pooh, I'm not greedy...I'll take the yellows!! :lol: :lol: :lol: I've got most of my work caught up so I can go to bed at a decent hour if I want. Of course, my daughter is having some of her sorority sisters over for a pajama party so I doubt I'll have the quiet I'd like. As tired as I am, I'm pretty sure Pearl Harbor could be happening all around me and I'll be curled up in the fetal position, smile on my face, snoring away I-)

It's good to see his PMPS make a nice recovery from that +8..

OMG....I just looked at your condo and numbers from last night and I feel HORRIBLE that I had to go back TBP today and wasn't up to help you last night!!!! You did fantastic and I"m so glad Ronnie was around just so you didn't feel alone. Awesome night!!! A little bouncy today and he and Gracie are the same PMPS. Let's see who will do what tonight!! Glad to see he is clearing his bounces so quickly but those night time numbers leave one really tired. Glad you can work from home!!

Hope you have a great evening. I'll check in before my bedtime but that is usually about 10:30 now that I'm back into the drudgery of work. Gotta retire.

Marje, you're so sweet to worry about me!!! That right there helps even if I have to do this alone. :lol: To be honest, you did help last night. I went on your condo to see how you feed Gracie with certain numbers and, while I realize Champ won't be the same, it did give me an idea of what to do. I also looked at Michelle & Mannie's to see what she does. I know I probably shouldn't have given him a couple licks of gravy when I did, but I really didn't want to see green by myself!! :lol: I was too exhausted for that. Don't ever feel bad for having to go to bed. I completely understand!! :-D

hi guys - sorry to be so late in visiting! :?

What a night last night fro Champ - love all those blues - almost green so close!!! It was nice to see him clear the bounce so quickly too. YAY!, and GO CHAMP! You could be right - looks like a back to the blues night. Sweet!

Great isn't when you start to see the lower numbers. :-D :-D

Fantastic!!! Unfortunately, I'm off to bed!!!

Keep in mind that Mannie can tolerate much higher carbs than Gracie and Gracie has changed substantially lately. Currently we are using 4% with a little karo because she started really stacking up the carbs before she would show the effects; so we would get low number, feed carbs; low number, feed carbs; low number, feed carbs; HIGH NUMBER!!! When she could tolerate the carbs more, I really liked using the 13% gravy in the Wellness pouches like....turkey and turkey liver. BUT....you have to be really careful feeding carbs late in the cycle unless they are really low. Good luck..hope you get some rest tonight!!
