Tipper's not eating well today. Came home from work and 3/4 of her food was still there. Got her to eat and gave her 1/4 tab of pepcid. She had her shot and vomited up a large hairball and all her food and water. About an hour later she's eating again and keeping it down so I hope it was just a hairball.

She had pancreatitis about a month ago could this be the start of another attack?
Is there such a thing as chronic pancreatitis??
Are there special diets or special care I need to give her. The ER vet said no further treatment was necessary.

Some cats do experience recurrent bouts of pancreatitis (i.e., chronic panceatitis). This is a post that Jojo wrote from the old Board on managing pancreatitis. (Jojo is a very experienced vet tech that used to be here regularly. She's had some health problems that prevent her from being around.) There have been some discussions about diet but the latest thinking is that it's not a factor. Probably the most effective thing I've seen is learning what the signs are that Tipper might be starting a bout of pancreatitis and then intervening quickly.

If Tipper has an appetite, chances are this is a hairball.
