Good Sunday Morning,
Stu decided to bounce a bit high this morning. We'll see what the day brings. It's a beautiful cool spring morning here in the Adirondacks. The white-throated sparrows are singing away. Stu has been out to check out his grass and weeds. He's happy to be home and last night got right back into his pounding routine (interesting that he doesn't do that in the city: of course there are no doors in a studio apartment!) Litterbox action is good. Breakfast was eaten (in 2 installments). He "wants" something (more food?) but I can't figure out what it is.
This week will be a busy paddling week and really is the start of the paddling season. We're leading a paddle on Thursday, participating in one tomorrow, and next weekend may go to "Paddlefest"--a canoe & kayak exposition--just to see what's new in paddling gear. On Wednesday we're going to open our tiny "camp" (1-room seasonal cabin) on a lake about 70 miles south of here. This involves putting in the water line (we get our water out of the lake). Luckily we don't have to do it ourselves: very good friends live full-time a 1/2 mile away and they are "handy", whereas we are not! We have had this little place for a number of years. Stu likes the cabin and its screened-in porch, but he's not allowed to go outside there (too dangerous--dogs and wild animals). Before we moved upstate Stu used to love "camp", but now that he has "his" garden and can go outside, he's less thrilled when we go to "camp". Ah for the life of a cat! Never satisfied, because perfection is not only the goal, it is expected!
