Our hearts and thoughts are with Wendy and Ron tonight (@Wendy&Neko ). Brave Theo is flying free.

Good Evening L&LL,

We had a good day on the water: we led a paddle on Long Pond, Pink Pond, and Little Pink pond. The sun was out and it was pretty windy, but a lovely day (with the exception of the Black Flies, which swarmed around us; fortunately they aren't biting yet). The outlet from Long into Pink and then Little Pink was so beautiful. And because of all the rain we have had it was possible to get into the two small ponds. I saw a muskrat, and there were turtles on the logs. We saw several loons on Long Pond.

Rusty held the fort and was very happy to see us upon our return. He ate almost all of the food we left for him in his automat. Now he is waiting for me to come downstairs and hold his dinner bowl.

Tomorrow will be another active day for me: a group of us is going to visit a historic farm and then do a bike ride in the area north of Plattsburgh (near the Canadian border). It promises to be another nice day, if a bit warm. It will be my first bike ride of the season. Edward and Rusty will hold the fort and Edward will go to a yoga class.

Wow - Rusty ate his food from the automat! Good going Rusty.

The paddle sounds lovely, well, except for the black flies. Cool on the muskrat. Enjoy the ride tomorrow.

I, too, am impressed that Rusty ate while you were gone. Good job, buddy! The LagoonMeister needs to keep his strength up!

Sounds like a lovely, if exhausting, day, Ella. You are so darned active, I always feel lazy when I read your condos! I hope you have a good ride tomorrow and don't end up too sore. The first one is always the toughest.

Indeed, another sad day in L&L Land. Civvie or sugarcat, we all grieve when a furry friend crosses the Bridge. :(
