OK so we did amps an hour early at 6:30am and will be doing pmps at 5:45 pm - shot 4.00 this morning and right now at 4:30 which is +9 he is 316. He tends to go lower at night and I won't be home until about 11pm or around there so I want him to be safe. I'm thinking I should be really cautious and go with 3.00???
thoughts anyone?

Holding off judgement until I see that he doesn't skyrocket 100 points in the next hour. But if he's less than 350, yeah, I think 3u is a good safe amount that won't have you stressed out all night long. If he's over 350, either 3u or possibly 3.5? One question though.... at what time would you like to be able to shoot in the morning tomorrow?

well, he's at 366 at 5:15pm already. He's going to have dinner WITH his shot. I'd like to be able to shoot anytime from 6:30 to 8am tomorrow - I'll schedule around him if I have to.

Good decision. Always trust your gut.

at +5 from my "whimpy" shot he's 306 but he also had a big dinner and my dear husband left the bowl with the rest of the food out where he could get to it (not on purpose) and of course he DID. So on top of his full can at dinner and the soup spoon that was left for him he had about another 1/2 can. He's full but ran to greet me when we got home.

Insulin left out

Not a good night for my poor husband who was in a rush to get to his job and had to change, test robbie get numbers to me, wait for me to advise what to shoot, shoot, feed all animals and get out of the house fast - so along with leaving the bowl of cat food out where Robbie could get to it he left the insulin out on the kitchen counter, out of the box and it was there for 4.5 hours. It is garbage? I have a tiny bit left in the old bottle so I can mix enough tomorrow to get thru amps but I'm worried we'll have to buy another vial and this is practically brand new. So do I shot my husband or is it maybe still OK?

Go give your husband a hug & a kiss & tell him thank you so much for taking care of Robbie. He did a really good job!
Your insulin should be fine. I have left Baxters out longer & more than once....oh wait is that why is numbers are bad.... just kidding. It should be alright.

Now go tell you husband thank you! & tell him great job from Jennifer! :RAHCAT this one is for him!!

thanks Jennifer - he's really upset - I'm sure the fact that I had a few choice words to say about the food being left out already didn't help out. He's a good kitty daddy - he's just a better doggie daddy - which is fine
Thanks - we'll see how it goes I hope it's OK.

Awww...ok go say sorry too. ;-) :YMHUG:
Please tell him for me I said good job! :RAHCAT

Honestly, I don't think you need to stress. There have been tons of memebrs who have left it out & its been fine. As long has your house isn't hot as...well you know or it wasn't in the direct sunlight. If you start seeing floaties then it might not be good. I remember the first I left mine out I had it at the most two weeks. I thought oh great DH is going to kill me for leaving this $140 bottle of medicine out & explain why I need to buy a new one. I put a post in health & got lots of replies...oh I felt better.
